  1. I asked about this on the Bahamas forum, but did not get an answer. I will be cruising with my 3 year old grandson in January 2019. Two of our stops are Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay.

In Nassau, I was thinking of going to the Pirate Museum. My grandson loves Arg's as he calls them. To anyone that has gone to this museum before, is it something that a 3 yr old would enjoy?

Next question is about the Stingray Encounter out of Great Stirrup Cay. Any experiences on this excursion with a toddler? I wasn't sure about the water depth. Since I will have to hold him, I will not be able to swim. I am 5'9. Is the water too deep to just walk through? He LOVES the stingray touch tank at our local zoo. So I am not concerned about him being afraid of them.

    Any insight is greatly appreciated:)

  2. Anyone taken this excursion with a non-swimming toddler? I will be traveling with my 3 yr old grandson. He LOVES stingrays and enjoys the new touch tank at our local zoo. I thought he would enjoy actually getting in the water with them (with a vest on and held in my arms). He tries to climb in with them at the zoo, so I don't think he will be afraid of them. Just wasn't sure what the water depth normally runs since I would not be able to swim since I will have to hold him.

  3. Will be in Nassau in Jan 2019 and traveling with my 3 yr old grandson. For those that have gone to the Pirate Museum, would it be something that a toddler would enjoy? He loves Arg's as he calls them-so I thought it might be fun for him.

  4. I am booked on Jade for a Jan 2019 cruise and have paid in full for the trip. My question is that when I log in, it says there are only 14 shore excursions available during the entire trip. But if you just check them by port without logging in, Nassau alone offers over 30 choices. Will more be made available closer to my sail date? First time on NCL so I don't know what their normal practice is.

  5. In my state, if parental rights have not been terminated yet, the parents need to give their consent for travel anywhere outside our home state. Then if they consent, the judge would have to approve a travel authorization. If rights have already been terminated, then they just need the judges consent. Even in my case where I am the maternal grandmother of the child. Early in our case I could not take him to Branson for a weekend because mom (my daughter) said no  I did not cruise with my grandson before adoption, but do know others who have done it and they had no issues since the agency provided them with everything the cruise line normally needs, plus the document from the judge stating that the child is in the state's care, and that permission has been granted for them to travel with the foster family. Now that I have legally adopted little man-we have a cruise planned for 2019:):)
