  1. The long term parking at the cruise terminal for my 16 day cruise was quoted at over 900 dollars. Even in Canadian that's pretty steep. Wondering what advice or suggestions you wonderful people might have for me! We will be driving up from Bellingham WA and my husband is disabled, therefor we have a ramp van that allows him to stay in his power chair and deploy of the van... otherwise we would probably lean towards other transportation options.

That brings me to one last question: are accessible Cabs readily available in Vancouver?

If I were you I'd be demanding to talk to your CVP's supervisor.  My CVP said they must do this per ADA.

Can I ask what a CVP is? I booked through princess's website link for a cruise specialist, unfortunately she has given me a LOT of bad information and is very slow to respond. I'm not sure who to contact about this, I'd love any info you can give for me to rectify this situation. My brain is making me feel shy to ask them about it but i should at least try.

If the category accessible cabin isn't available they must look at the next available category level that has one and give it to you for the price of the category you was trying to booked. I found this out when I talked to my CVP when I was looking for an accessible interior cabin for our last cruise, we got an accessible balcony for interior price. He said they had to follow ADA rules.

We just booked a few days ago with the same situation and we were not offered this. Only a balcony Accessible room was available and we were looking for a interior. Such a bummer.

Regarding the question if room service included drinks in the PBP - can you imagine the poor staff running back and forth bringing drinks to everyone?

Yes. Boy is my face red.

If they were included then this whole thread about how use the PBP to accumulate drinks from the bars for later use in the cabin would be pretty pointless, don'tcha think?

    In other words, no.

Ah, I wasn't aware everyone had a beverage package, i guess I just assumed some people were buying their drinks as they go. Shame on me! I should know better! Thank you for your quick response.

But allow for some bad traffic!

thank you! Ive never been to Honolulu, i assume if tour ends at 3 in Waikiki and we head to the ship shortly thereafter.  that leaves us at least 2.5 hours from Waikiki to cruise ship terminal in a cab? Even in bad traffic I'm hoping that will work out!

Just keep in mind that she needs to be fully potty trained (wipe, flush, wash hands etc) all by herself because they won’t be in the bathroom with her. I’ve read other posts on here where parents/grandparents expected that someone would be in there  that end with the kid in tears because they couldn’t figure out how to flush or use the sink and they were in the bathroom by themselves.

    great info! Thanks!

She does do these things by herself, but if i let her, she would probably play with the sink water all day, so I will need to work on her timing with that. Thanks again!

  9. ah, Thank you!

I finally found a kids program flyer online and I was reading their info online and it states:

"Programs for our young travelers are available year round from 9:00am each morning, or half an hour before arriving in each port for children with parents on Celebrity Cruises Shore Excursions departing prior to 9:00am. "

Which begs another questions... if you do go ashore and leave kids in Fun Factory, are you restricted to Celebrity Shore Excursions or could you just go shopping for a few hours?

We were on the Solstice last year and there was a stand of children’s pool floats adjacent to the main pool area.  On the Celebrity App for our upcoming Millennium cruise next week there is a note stating that children’s pool floats are provided on a complimentary basis and that they must not be taken from the ship on port days.  Hope you and your family enjoy your cruise.

This is awesome! I will have to download the Celebrity app, I had no idea they would put info like that on there and it's super helpful!

    • I .. being a 'baby boomer' always assumed that children are potty trained by the age of 3 . Some of this generation are not. So just a heads up in case . Swim diapers are not allowed and children must be fully trained

Thank you 😃 Yes, one of our Potty training motivators was to be able to book a cruise and go in the pool. we are fully potty trained. Thanks for your info, I'm sure it can help other families that were not aware 😃

  12. Thank you for your response! I was more specifically wondering about life jackets for recreational use in the pools (for children), not the life saving ones used for rescue. I had seen someone mention it before but cannot find the post again, that they may have some on board for kids to use in the pool.

I will pack our own if necessary. Would love some more feedback 😃
