We bring our own because the choices on the boat are limited

If your lucky, they will go to half moon

We enjoy the smaller boats, new bigger ones are too crowded and the layouts are weird!

High paid ambassadors, late night buffet, cruise directors, sing and dance shows and elegant night!
-
No, but there are times when big new boats are in port and I usually say to myself " I am glad we not on that boat" just because we do not like the "new, bigger" boats! Now I do feel pride when I go to the MDR in my jeans!!!! LOL
-
give your friend the invitation and go, works every time!
-
Vista!!! stupid layout, from front to back, atrium is ugly and boring, cinema blocks 3 floors, casino is small and people just walking the floor are forced to walk right through the middle and too many people! Also any of the new boats I do not want to be on, too big, too many people!

This should clear things up for those confused about what's allowed and what a corkage fee is for:
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage. Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.
Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.
Corkage Fee
Should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, specialty restaurant or bar, a $15.00 USD corkage fee, per 750 ml bottle, will be charged. A corkage fee is a charge that is assessed, at time of service, for every bottle that is served and not bought on the premises. -

Corkage fees are charged when you bring a bottle into dining room and ask them to open it or even pour it, that’s why I said bring your own bottles, pour your own in your room using the glasses they provide, go anywhere you want including the MDR, and you will have NO problem!

bring your own corkscrew and glasses
Exactly, we bring our own cork screw, use the glasses in the room and carry wine where ever we want, why pay a corkage fee?

Yes, but the choices are terrible! Too many nasty american choices and not enough real wine choices from France & Italy!!
-
I know we all have different taste and that's why we do not buy the vineyard package, no good wines to choose from, We bring our own and if travelling with family/friends, we use them as mules to bring more on!

I hadn't seen this announced or posted anywhere... on the Valor last week the late night buffet had been completely cut.
I think its the industry not just Carnival that are making cuts where ever they can! Also, I read an article about how much food is thrown away from these buffets it was astounding! The industry sees this and will be moving more to a order when hungry function, instead of putting out hundreds of pounds of unwanted food just to be thrown away!

what open bar parties? never heard of this, only the Platinum parties and they serve junk drinks not straight alcohol
Even on the platinum parties, we order shots, but on each cruise we join a facebook group for that cruise, if someone doesn't already have a meet & greet planned, we plan one, they are one hour long, unlimited drinks for the hour, cost is usually $21.50 per person. We meet a lot of new friends through those meet & greets!

True, and also we try not to sail in summer or holiday times!
It's only one reporters opinion, most of the reviews are nothing like Dulce experienced. you should still love the Breeze. We've heard people rip the Steakhouse, and we have never had anything less than an excellent experience.
-
Don't tell anybody this but we always bring our water bottles to the open bar parties and fill them with booze for later! One will be full of Fireball and the other will be full of Jameson! Again, don't tell anyone!!!

Does anyone know if Carnival holds back shore excursion spots for onboard booking. I am going to Bermuda and booked an excursion to the caves.. I have since hurt my knee and dont think I can do the 81 steps without hurting it even more. Unfortunately all the less strenuous tours are sold out on Carnival website and also on the private tour sites i have seen mentioned. I am platinum so I am hoping that if I am one of the first onboard I have a shot at booking something else.... anyone know?
Thanks,
We rarely book through the boat, more options and better price if you book privately or off the pier!

How sad, the Breeze was one of our favorite boats!!!
Using NCL flight to Rome
in Norwegian Cruise Line

Yes, when we were in Rome a couple weeks ago, when you leave baggage claim, there are people with NCL, MSC, Viking signs, just walk up and tell them who you are!
