    Thanks,

I was looking at a port day, so maybe once Reflection gets back over to the Caribbean I will look at some of the dailies for those cruises and see if there are any movies scheduled.  It's unfortunate that someplace that could be restful and secluded was ruined by the screen and noise.

Where do you find the dailies?

Anybody have a beverage package booked for an upcoming cruise on the Oasis for the Fall or closer? What is the price pp? Thanks!!

Online it says $69-$89 pp so I just got off the phone with them to try and narrow that down and they said they couldn’t tell me if I didn’t have a booking number which I don’t so maybe you should call and give them your booking number and see what they say. She told me right now it’s between $69-89 which is a lot more than what other people are saying here with 46-50. This ticks me off about rccl.

Ya Ya is a good club.  Along the malecon with all the others.  Pitaya is associated with YaYa and appears to cater to older crowd. Tropicante is another good club.  Some people like Pez Quadro. And others like Krazy Lobster.

The issue with many clubs along the malecon is that they are right next to each other, no barriers between and if more than a couple of ships are in they do get crowded.  The further south you go the less crowded.  I haven't been there, but reports on a new club, Malecon 21, almost at the southern end of the malecon and away from others, are very good.   At the very north end, nearer the lighthouse is Blue Kay.  Typically less crowded as it's before the first tram stop.

If you  want an All Inclusive a bit further away from the main drag, look into Maya Chan.

I just read a post that said the water at Maya Chan is yucky. Any comments on that?

It is not a BN / Carnival Tour.  Apparently someone on the BN cruise booked the entire place by themselves for a private party and the capacity has been filled with invited people from the BN cruise.

We had already planned to do the Chacchoban ruins with Native Choice so did not sign up for the Maya Chan party.

I'm surprised that Jaime lets the local vendors sell there.  At NoHoch Kay he typically ran them off.  But if he or Nicole weren't there on the day you were, the crew may have not paid attention.

Nevertheless, can't argue with the setting for Maya Chan in terms of looking for a real getaway spot on all fronts, except the road:classic_wink:.

Can you tell me how long the ride is from the port to Maya Chan?

  5. I called Norwegian yesterday and talked to 2 different people and both said they knew nothing about tendering in caye. One told me if they changed to tendering in a port we would be notified. We cruise out of New Orleans 3/8. That being said I don’t trust Norwegian!

I purchased the water on board. I drink a lot of it and so it was a convenience in my opinion. Water in all restaurants was very good. Never tasted the water in the cabin bathroom.

Was it the same price as pre purchase? Did they have bottles in the room to purchase? If so cost?

  7. This isn’t really about the restaurants all though I like the reviews!
My question is about bottles of water, do they have a couple liters in the room like most lines and if so how much do they charge? We know there is a water package but don’t really want to spend that much on water. Thought if they have a couple bottles in the room we would buy and refill.

    We are sailing Getaway 3/8/2020

  8. great review so far...I love the honesty and you are painting a great picture for me since we get our chance to sail on the 8th of April...same itinerary that you had...only 1 day at sea...this was not my choice...love those days at sea...just veg. out at the pool all day...this is why I may not participate in some of the excursions that my wife and family maybe doing...it will be pool time for me...I know that some of the dry dock items to be done got put on the back burner because of some very bad weather...sounds like the old girl is holding up but showing some signs of both age and constant usage...DO YOU HAVE COPIES OF THE MAIN DINMING ROOM MENU'S...that you could post...some folks in our group of 21 are looking for them...great REVIEW...Thanks again

We will be on the 4/8 sailing with a group of 20

  9. we are going in April. How much did you pay for the all inclusive? Do you think it was worth it versus the 20.00 for 2 chairs and umbrella??

The Jolly Beach is great! We did the all inclusive for the day. One of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The resort has a very nice pool. Food and drinks were good. I wish every port had a hotel like this to spend the day! This past year we spent the day at a beach bar down the beach very close and rented two chairs for $20.00. Same beautiful beach. As a matter of fact we liked the Jolly Beach so much we are going this summer for a week. It is a very casual down to earth hotel. Very friendly staff.

    Have fun.
