  1. Im sailing on Ovation of the Seas this may from Hawaii and Ill be spending a week on the Island prior to the cruise. I am a Commercial Drone Pilot and wanted to fly some promo shots on the Island along with some flying for fun while there. I dot plan to fly at all on the Cruise but will have my AC with me. Does anyone know if Ill have any issues with RCL taking it onboard? I could imagine they could have had some problems with Idiots trying to fly off the ship and may have banned them? thoughts?

  2. In some ports union members MUST handle the luggage and if celebrity handled the luggage there would be an immediate union strike. Celebrity security could do nothing even if they saw someone opening a bag...they would have to notify police or someone in the Union. That's a real problem and given that environment, there is no way that celebrity can be responsible even though it's annoying as can be to you and me. They have absolutely no control over the dockworkers other than paying them.

The only solution is to take your own bags on board or cover yourself adequately with baggage insurance which doesn't actually help much if you have just gotten on a transatlantic cruise and you've lost something....

It's a frustrating situation....and this is one that you can lay directly on the longshoremen and other unions.

Great! I'm glad we could make this an anti-union issue.

  3. Looks good to me! Sail on the Silho in two months and have the Premium Package which covers most of the beers, etc on here.

Funny you say that. Because I specifically decided NOT to go with a package because of Michael's Club. I figured I would be drinking the Trappist ales which price out at 15 to 20 dollars a bottle. So no way I'm paying the difference every time for that. To bad they don't do it by the glass as one bottle of Chimay is almost the size of a bottle of vino.

  4. My understanding is that if you are in an AQ cabin and elect Select Dining you will be eating in the MDR instead of Blu. So if anyone (hard to believe...:)) was turned off by the idea of "lighter" fare, that could be a solution. In that case I'd pick whichever category was less.

I think that might be a myth. We picked select dinning on our AQ cruise and was told to show up to blu at 730 the first night and then it would be open the rest of the cruise.

  5. I have really struggled with this for our upcoming 13 night cruise. For my wife it would not be worth it that much is clear. My problem is that one night I'll rack up a 100 dollar bill the. Ext two maybe 30. And so on. My consumption is hardly predictable and I have no way of knowing how I will feel. Also I really enjoy Trappist ales and belgian ales which are now available at the new Michael's Club beer bar. Problem is, many of those bottles are not available per glass and only as a 750ml bottle for like 24 dollars a fair price. But I'm assuming with a drink package would leave me to come up with the other half. Can anyone comment on this?

    Thanks
