Our medallions arrived yesterday and I was also appalled at the amount of packaging. Maybe I can repurpose the boxes for Christmas packaging!

The Caribbean Princess has an offer for 50% off unlimited internet for it's Canada New England cruise in September. If I purchase this package now, is it refundable?

We have an aft cabin on Caribe and feel everything looks fresh and new (including new beds and pillows which are very comfortable.) Pools are supposed to be filled over the next couple of days. There is a quite a bit of "dust" on the stairs in the Atrium from the new carpets but they are cleaning them frequently. Yesterday was a late departure and I'm sure many people had a long wait but we arrived around 3:30 and the lines were slow but moving. We were in our room by 4:30. Captain gave everyone a free drink at dinner as compensation. Overall, we are very pleased with the condition of the ship and looking forward to a great TA cruise!

We thought the Sip and Sail was a good deal but I called today before our final payment and received a decrease in the cruise payment and an increase in the cruise credits that offset the free gratuities that we lost.

Thank you for the tip. We were able to add the OBC to our April 2018 booking. Happy Canada Day!

Thanks, Keith. Would love to test new beds on our April 3/18 transatlantic!

Hoping they will update the beds if they haven't already done so.

I like the iced tea on cruises. Not sweetened and quite refreshing.

Just wondering if Caribe deck beds have been replaced with new mattresses. Our cruise isn't until April 2018 ( I believe that will be right after the March drydock). Have read many reviews for the Crown, both good and bad. Still looking forward to our transatlantic.

I wouldn't take a chance with an early flight. When we arrived in Fort Lauderdale after a TA, we faced the longest custom's line we've ever experienced. Luckily, we weren't flying home that day.

We just booked this cruise and it's $100 per person for a total of $200 per cabin. That's up from $25 per person last week.

We did a similar itinerary last December but I believe we were on the Sapphire. My husband and I are not prone to seasickness and didn't mind the rocking and rolling experience we had due to gale force winds on the trip back to Los Angeles. From what I have read, there can be quite a variety of weather conditions during the winter months.
Caribbean Princess delayed boarding
in Princess Cruises

Just received notice that the Caribbean Princess Canada/New England cruise will have delayed boarding tomorrow out of Brooklyn, N.Y. The current cruise has a "slight increase in counts of gastrointestinal illness among guests". There will be a "prolonged and additional disinfection" and the terminal will be closed till 3 pm. (We may need the extra time to get to get to the terminal due to the numerous traffic jams in Manhattan as a result of the UN Summit. Most of the roads outside of our hotel are blocked!)
