  1. "You're obviously an NCL Homer.

First Jan (can I call you Jan?), "I know you are but what am I" is not becoming on you.

*Checks comment history* criticism can be helpful, what you're doing is trolling.

"NCL is my favorite cruise line"

But I'm sure I'll see you soon in the threads!

Shop around. Two days ago I booked a 12 day Iceland cruise from London for 2023 on Carnival with one of their new sales. 4 days in Iceland with stops in Ireland and Scotland. 4 people (2 kids) in an extended balcony for $3500. That price is half or more less than what other lines are asking for Iceland including NCL. Check that one out if need be.

You must be getting serious discounts from Carnival for all the sniffing around the NCL boards you do. I'm seeing inside only without gratuities or drink packages included fort the price you are quoting. You comment in 60% of the NCL threads about your disdain for their prices yet you're still here bestie...

While I do appreciate the comments on tipping our butlers, I do hope we return to the original post of 'unique requests' as I will be taking my 1st haven cruise for my upcoming 25th anniversary. I'm very curious, as the OP posted, what things people have asked their butlers to do.

A reasonable voice steering the ship back (hopefully) on course!

  4. Does anyone have info/personal experience with bringing your own clam shell on the private island. When we do actually get off the ship on PI days we rent them, but Im seriously considering buying one. Example:

So, are they cool with it? It folds up into a small(ish) round and I can carry in a beach tote. I just dont want to get it and be told i cant open it when Im there. Am I over thinking this....(prob)?

Get him a wine/beer card.  Show him how to gamble.  Show him how to order food and wine for the table and then tell him to do so the next night.  Get him a separate cabin.  Most importantly, have fun!

    This is the correct answer

  6. Booked for the 5 day Bermuda 10/3/2020, and very excited! I noticed on NCL.com info for the deck plans is very limited (no restaurants listed etc), which is understandable as it isn't finished yet. What is confusing me though is that CC has the deck plans, including restaurants. Are they just copying the Bliss because the understanding is that they will be "Twin ships"? Mainly I ask because we booked Spa Balconies and I wanted to know where the spa was. Thoughts?

  7. Ok, after reading this thread, I'm considering a cruise to Bermuda...something I hadn't considered because

    1. I'm not sure if the casino is open at night while the ship is in port and

    2. I've always had the impression that Bermuda is oppressively hot

Can anyone speak to either of these?

    CM

Bermuda was 10 degrees cooler than NY today! Not that Im obsessively watching in anticipation of my trip there in Sept (ok I am...;p)

  8. We will be going on our second trip to Bermuda in Sept on the Escape and we are really looking forward to it. I bought a Bermuda travelers guide on Amazon and am doing more research this time around. There is plenty to do, and its pretty easy to get around from what I've heard. We will be planning to eat on the boat however, as it is pricey to do so on the island. Here is an idea of our itinerary so far:

Day 1 - St George via ferry - St Peters, Unfinished Church & Museum

    Day 2 - Crystal Caves

    Day 3 - Aquarium

All accessible via public transport pass!

  9. We just came back from a cruise to Bermuda on Sunday. We used pubic transportation and it was really easy. We bought a 1 day pass and used it to get to the Aquarium and Hamilton. We tried to take the NCL ferry to St. George but it was full, so we took the high speed ferry that leaves from the Dockyard about 15 minutes later than the NCL ferry and when we arrived in St. George, people were still getting off the NCL ferry, so we didn't lose any time. Just follow the crowd and just after you start going uphill, you'll see a blue building and stairs. Go to the top of the stairs and this is where the busses leave from. I believe it was the number 11 bus that we took and there was a stop for the Crystal Caves before our stop for the Aquarium. When we were done, we took the number 7 (I think?) bus to Hamilton. It drops you at the bus station and you go right and down the hill and you'll see the ferry that take you back to the Dockyard. If you go to the information desk at the Dockyard to buy your tickets, there are a couple of people walking around that will help you with the bus numbers that you need to take. I may have the bus numbers mixed up so it's best to ask them and maybe for a bus schedule that you can take with you.

    Wow great stuff Mikkar! Thanks!

  10. Our Sept cruise to Bermuda will be our second, so we are taking the plunge and just doing maps and public transportation (ferries, buses, NCL St George ferry)! Our big three spots to see are: Unfinished Church, St Peter's, and the Crystal Caves. We are also willing walkers! Any advice on the following would be much appreciated!:

Does the NCL St George ferry stop at the Cruise terminal I see on the map in St George?

What is the best way to get to Hamilton from the Dockyard to get to the caves? (would prefer no taxis)

If you give up the good tips on getting around I promise to post picks of the elusive O2 Oceanview Forward room 13700 we are booked in !!! :')
