  1. I spent three nights in Copenhagen prior to sailing on the Getaway. The sites are spread around town and there is poor sinage to the sights.

I enjoyed the canal cruise. You can catch the Netto boats at Nyhaven for 40 crown. It has a narrated sailing around the harbor and thru part of Christiana. I tried several restaurants around Nyhaven. The food is mostly bland fish and potatoes. The wait staff was young and indifferent to customer service.

Rosenberg Castle is on the edge of town and interestng to explore. It has some crown jewels. It can be reached by a HOHO bus. They had poor service too.

Tivoli Gardens was a disappoinment. I did not stay to see it at night because it did not get dark until 10:00 pm. It was small and did not have much entertainment.

The Little Mermaid is mostly small. The park behind it, Kastellet, is worth taking some time to explore. It was a working fort, moat system, windmill, and some old churches. At dusk, some large birds roost there. You can get on HOHO at the Geflon fountain.

I stayed at Babette Guldmen hotel. The room was small and cheaply furnished. I enjoyed staying there. It was a quirky place with a good bar and restaurant. They had good food and service. It is on Bredgade across the street from Kastlellet.

  2. I just sailed on the NCL Dawn to Bermuda. The ship offered no tours, only airport transfers and I had a 5:00 pm flight. I was able to use Rowe's Water Taxi service and spend time sightseeing in Boston. You need to have their phone number, which is listed on their website. They will come to get you and you can pay for the $25.00 cruise ship special onboard. After you exit the ship, keep going past the front of the ship. Take the first side street. You will see a dock ramp, that is past the police ship and before the bridge. They take you to their main location at Rowe's Wharf. The aquarium and tours are a short walk to the north. You can use Harbor Walk or Atlantic street. They helped me get my luggage to their office, will store it for you, and set up a return time. They have public restrooms at the location too. I was able to take a tour and eat lunch at Quincy Market with my free time. I took another water taxi across the harbor. You use the airport bus to the terminal. They were helpful with my luggage on both ends. I did tip the staff who assisted me. They were very friendly and appreciative.

  3. I chose a free Ultimate Beverage Package as a new booking promotion. It was advertised as $54.00 per day. I was charged $68.02 service fee, which would be 18% of $378.00 had I purchased it. It was not exactly free. I hope this means that they will add more staff at the bars. Several reviews have complained about the long lines and slow service at the bars, largely due to drink packages overwhelming the staff.
