We will be aboard for the back-to-back voyage (December 8-22). These will be our 10th and 11th trans-Atlantics on the QM2...our favorite ship. We'll look forward to saying hello at the LGBT gathering in the Comodore Club. Doug & Darby (Atlanta)

HI Doug and Darby - Will be doing the back to back with you - a buddy will be doing the eastbound and Ron will do the return with me. Is the LGBT gathering at the usual time (2 PM first sea day in the Commodore Club)?

Apologies Dorothy's Friend for not saying Hi before posting - you are going to love QM2 - a real ship! And I'm sure there are going to be lots more in the Commodorothy Club than are showing up here! Three years ago we did a Thanksgiving WB and there were probably over 100 in attendance! Don;t think there will be that many this time but you never know

Excited about getting back on board - been getting all the little things I forgot to pack when I left Boston - most important being the Starbucks Via instant coffee. Staying at the Grand Harbour - they say it is going to be refurbished in January - it sure needs it!

See everyone on the 13th - have to go look for the time now!

If you are travelling Solo, do Princess Grill!

If you were travelling with someone, do Queens as I have done.

Once did a Britannia Club solo but found that restrictive size wise (and missed the bath tub!) - the Princess Grille staterooms on QM2 are 1.5 times the size of the Britannia rooms - the QG rooms start at twice the size of the Britannia rooms. Use the money you save on the Princess Grille stateroom for your onboard spend (and ignore the bottle of Pok Acker:mad: which will be in your stateroom - get a good bottle of champagne!:D)

... I have been told Cunard is on P&O's every 3 year overhaul system that they do within their own fleet (Cunard is managed/directed by P&O)...get with it Carnival!

Did the 17 day repositioning on the Zuiderdam from Venice to Ft Lauderdale Oct 2008 - there was sushi every day in the Lido - only complaint (other than the Code Red for the voyage) was the wasabi was too thin!
