The main stream media HATES THE CRUISE INDUSTRY. If this story is true. It would be everywhere by now. Until it comes out of reputable media outlets. I would give it zero credibility. And i hope im correct.

You obviously misread my post.  However, bringing alcohol on board is childish. But, the spirit of my post was stop acting like scared little kids. Not true.  The reason distilled water is recommended for humidifiers, CPAP is because  it contains almost ZERO minerals that cause scale to firm inside the internal elements of those devices.  Using the tap is fine for washing, brushing but those water lines contain billions of microbes 🦠.  Bottled water ir distilled wont.  So you are taking a HUGE risk by sending steam into your nasal cavity & lungs. Where the perfect environment lives to give you one hell of a respiratory illness.  But, what do i know…😷

You will lose that battle.  CC charge reversals favor the vendor not the card holder. Usually in case of vendor fraud, unauthorized charges or other deceitful business practices.  contractual policy changes are listed under your passenger contract that you already agreed to. So you will not get the reversal.  Bet you can hope for is a FCC.

This is not ending. We will adapt and live with it.

It takes up to 2 days to get PCR Test results. Our Cruise is in 2 weeks on the 21st.  If I take the test on that Tuesday assuming the results will be available  on  Thursday , does that meet the 72hr requirement?

Just read Amber Cove is owned by CCL. What about the drink package, is it accepted at the A.C. bars too?

What does that mean? Do you go to a restaurant order then bus your own table?  It’s their job!!! This is why we tip. Its a service job.

Never take a guaranteed cabin if you anticipate an upgrade.  99/100 you will be disappointed.

1) Looking for a one night pre cruise hotel in Miami. Looking for transportation from the Airport & To the port next morning.  Never cruised out of Miami, I would imagine most hotels would not offer free port shuttles.

2) end of cruise we have a flight out of Miami that is late in the evening 10:15. Do not want to sightsee looking for a daycation in a hotel. Have a room , use the pool. Anyone know how to go about getting a room from 10am-8pm. Any suggestions for this is welcomed.

Customers and especially investors will eventually grow tired of this “lack of transparency “ and lack of a game plan.

There is no doubt the CDC screwed them over with how slow they set their guidelines but I’m convinced the cruise companies may regret not being ready for the quick turnaround.

With all that has happened with vaccinations and dropped mask and social distancing guidelines it’s time to pick up the pace.

You could not be more off the mark.  The cruise lines are ready, the CDC has dragged this out way too long… All the cruise lines submitted, met with, lobbied and begged to get the CDC to get their asses in gear, and work with them to get these ships returned to service ASAP.

Booked 4 CI category cabins with CP window views on deck 9 on Oasis for the Fall🤞. Two family's will be occupying 4 cabins. Since we needed connecting cabins, all 4 Cabins will be close. Just not in a row.  No problem.  We get the invoices and i look at the cabin locations, they are all forward. NOT a CP view, just regular inside.  Royal has changed the connected inside cabins to cat CI. And it seems in error they assigned the standard forward inside connecting as CI as well. But still classified them as CP view cabins.  9535-9537 & 9543-9545 definitely do not have CP views.  The Rep told me” if the room says it has a view, then it has a view” and i should not worry. I asked to speak to a supervisor. So, after 35min on hold, I talked to a supervisor. They repeated what the rep said earlier. I asked to simply grab other cabins i knew were what we wanted. But the price increased since and i would have to pay the higher price.  At this point i told them to cancel and i would take my business to a TA who knew what they are talking about.   
 

So, they tell me as a one time exception they will make the change to the other cabins that are midship.  It was so frustrating to be told something you know not to be accurate. Then  they lie, make up new policies and pretend they are doing you a favor. Has anyone else had a very bad experience with RCL direct?

I am AMAZED that anyone thinks they are cruising ANYWHERE until coronavirus has a vaccination is beyond comprehension.   

I bet the CDC pulls that recommendation by Monday.

Yes, the difference between NY & NJ seems odd.  I wonder if NY state just has a higher segment of its population on unemployment as compared with NJ.

IMHO, Here is how it plays out And I only covered the main stream lines.

NCL - will become insolvent within 6-9 months. FDR will step down, Assets will be sold off within 18 months

Disney CL - They will be Ok. however, they will postpone New builds 

Carnival Corp - Should reman intact. Arnold Donald is a real sharp guy. But i believe Princess will have such negative brand recognition that. It will cease to exist with 6-12 mo. Holland America will sell off their smaller ships for cash flow.
 

RCCL-  already postponed several ship refurbishments.  Pause all future new builds indefinitely. Azamara may be sold off to a UK or Australian tour group.

Celebrity should be fine.

MSC - may leave the US market to regroup and rethink future strategies.

Yes, Walmart is hiring it is close to my home.  Actually, they are looking for overnight shift for restocking.  Not very glamorous.  However, its a paycheck.  And, it looks like schools will be shut for the remainder of this semester.
