Has anyone done hiking on their own in Corfu? I see that the official "Corfu Trail" is nowhere near the port. I also see there are some SB excursions, but I am looking to just do a 3-4 hour day hike on my own in a nice quiet region, either mountainous or seaside.

(Mea culpa if this is misplaced on these boards. The destination boards looked rather dated!)

Odyssey Venice/Athens -Sept 29

I am supposed to check my blood pressure daily, and have a machine at home to do so. I'd rather not bring it on the Odyssey (sailing soon). Is there an infirmary on board that I can stop in and have it checked while on the cruise?

Sailing on the Odyssey Sept 29 Venice/Athens and have booked an oceanview...first cruise. Are cabins on ships similar to hotel rooms in that if there is an open Veranda Suite, they might upgrade oceanview guests?? :confused::confused::confused::confused::D

You can certainly do that but make sure to give plenty of advance notice.

 

Also, another thing for new SB cruisers to bear in mind is the state of your minibar when you embark. Even if you complete the online preferences form* in the My Reservations section of the SB website, sometimes your selection will not be in your minibar. Various reasons for this but I suspect that the main one is that the more experienced room stewardeses just decide to wait until they introduce themselves to the guests in each suite to find out exactly what they'd like.

 

* The online preferences form doesn't show all the brands available either.

Thanks. When I looked at that form under MyResv I was a bit surprised at how few things were available. And you could only pick two!

First time on Seabourn coming up late September out of Venice. I see spirits are included, but can someone give me examples of what brands - specifically Scotch, Bourbon and Vodka?
