There are more children than usual on this cruise because it is alaska. All but two are well behaved. -- two screaming toddlers who I doubt appreciate the cruise or the scenery. The string quartet is amazing. Four young women. Everything from Mozart to Mancini. Delightful

We are not going to the shows so I cannot report on quality of entertainment. Have not played trivia.

I usually cruise for the itinerary. Not this time

Really taking it easy

No tours to organize

Eating too well

All good

 

The Caribbean is not for me

Like you I enjoy ports that have more to offer

We have taken 10 photos. We usually take thousands

I just find nothing of interest in this part of the world

And I love to shop-- but not in the Caribbean. There are no bargains here btw. The hype is deceptive

Now if I could get to Cuba..... That's on my bucket list.

Wonderful itinerary. We will have a ball. Ship is almost sold out

 

How perfect is this - we sailed with Laraine on the Nautica in April/May and we are sailing with Arlene on the Nautica in Feb/Mar.

 

Laraine, thanks for the great info about the Riviera, we are sailing her in September, and your spot-on comments about the Caribbean. Agree totally about St. Barths! Have a very Happy New Year!!

Laraine, great review and very thorough, as usual! We are also Elite on Celebrity so we might consider an Azamara cruise but Oceania and the R ships in particular are so great (except for the officer/staff interaction, and you can make that work if you want) that I'd have to really think very hard about it! Thanks for taking the time!
