I'm going on the Indy next month and have a promenade view family stateroom that sleeps 6. Does anyone know how many outlets are in this room? I'm guessing one by the vanity with 2 plugs and one for a razor in the bathroom but i'm not sure. I would hope if a room holds 6 people they may have an extra outlet but i don't know. TIA.

So i'm used to sleeping with a fan every night blowing on me (not for the noise like many people). Does anyone know the best compact fan i can bring that will keep me cool? Also, are extension cords or power strips allowed? TIA.

Going to Labadee on IOTS in January. Wanted to know if there were free lounge chairs on the beach? Or beaches if there are multiple beaches. Never been before so not sure what to expect. TIA
-
Thanks for the review. How many people did you have? We have three going. Would lounge chairs be provided for all three people? I noticed it said it includes 2 floating mats. I don't care about that but we would want the loungechairs to sit in the sun if any of us wanted. TIA

You're welcome.
I left out one step. After you turn on the phone's WiFi, connect to the Royal WiFi service. You may be prompted to login or use an access code, but you can ignore that.
Ok thank you!

You don't have to purchase VOOM (internet package), but your phone's WiFi must be turned on. After you put the phone in Airplane Mode, you must turn on WiFi.
Great, thanks so much! I appreciate it.

Quick question about the RCCL app. Can you still use it if you don't buy the wi-fi package and keep your phone in airplane mode? I just discovered the app is available for our IOTS sailing in January and it looks awesome! TIA

Has anyone ever paid the balance of their cruise with a Visa gift card? I have about a $950 balance. TIA.

We have 3 people going so First Night works out better for us. :D
Interesting as we are on the IOS from Jan 7th and the BOGO 2 night pkg is no longer available and now we have the 1st night done right option in the cruise planner. I liked the BOGO one so I purchased it in early July and thankfully so :) -
Great. Thanks Dan.
You receive the discount for the "first night done right" promotion by them picking your dining venue. You pick the time, they pick the place. Once boarded, if you are unhappy with their selection, you can often have it changed to another if space permits.Dan.

Ken told me.:) Different rules for guests 3 and above.
Really? I did not know that. But we do have a non refundable deposit. If our cruise is in January 2019 when do you think we need to add the other 2? Maybe by August?
-
I can't answer the outlet question, but I wanted to let you know that the ship can run out of space at a muster station. So if you are booked with refundable deposit, I suggest you add the 2 other people now, to make sure you don't run out of muster space. You can cancel them for a full refund as late as 2 weeks before the cruise.
Yes they told me that when i booked. If theres no more room no one else will go. They did tell me if anyone cancelled after final payment i will lose the fare, but get back the gratuities and port fees. Who told you you can get a full refund up to 2 weeks before?

We are going on a girls cruise in January 19 on Independence of the Seas. We booked a Spacious promenade view that holds 6 people....room 8307. Right now we have 4 girls going but may add 2 more. I know the room is twice as big as the average room but still will be tight so my questions.....is there still only 2 outlets in the room for 6 people? Also, is the air conditioner accommodating for 6 people? TIA

Thanks for the feedback. Do you remember how much you were charged at Johnny Rockets?
$6.95 per person plus 18% gratuity. We went last Monday.

This was my 4th RCCL cruise, my first in probably 7 or 8 years at least. Again, i'm always amazed at the beauty of RCCL ships. I've read some negative things about NOTS so i was a bit nervous. But she was beautiful, well taken care of, clean. Always so much to do. Flowrider, rock wall, mini golf, basketball, ping pong. Never a dull moment. Our two port days were cloudy and windy. We had no plans to do excursions so we just walked around so the weather didn't bother us. I feel bad for those who did have excursions. The Food. We ate at Chops one night. Phenomenal. Amazing filet. I can't say enough about how good it was. The dining room was always good every night. We had anytime dining but sat at the same table every night and had the same wait staff. Vishal and Vikram were both amazing. I don't have alot good to say about the Windjammer. Just wasn't a fan of breakfast and lunch. We did Johnny Rockets one day for lunch and it was really good. I thought the entertainment was good. The ice skating show, the production show, the comedian and The Alleycats acapella group was really good too. We watched karaoke one night. I wish they had it more than just 2 nights on a 5 night cruise. Also played alot of trivia. Our room attendant Arleen was amazing. So friendly and always called us by our names. And always talked to us when she saw us. All the staff was very friendly. All in all a great Mom/Daughter cruise. Going Indenpence next January. I can't wait for that!

We are trying Chops on our first sea day for lunch. What is the dress attire for lunch?

Has anyone bought a Dyson hairdryer on the navigator of the seas? I just bought one and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to use it on my cruise in a few weeks. It does have a two prong plug it also has a power pack kind of like a laptop has. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the update.
Thanks. I can't wait to try it.

Thinking about having Chops for lunch one day. Question. Can you get anything off the menu? If we wanted 2 sides or two appetizers can we do that? My Mom doesn't really like to pay extra for food on a cruise but sometimes i like to splurge.
-
We're going on the NOTS in mid January. First, do you have to make reservations for the ice skating shows ahead of time? I don't see where i can do that in my cruise planner. Second, is there only one internet package? Its showing 20% off but its still almost $15 a day which i think is kind of high. Last time we were on Carnival they had a social media package for $5 a day. Does RCCL have anything like that? TIA
-
Great. Thanks so much. Just booked it!

I'm thinking of going on the NOTS with my mom in January. She's concerned about the food in the Windjammer. She doesn't see anywhere where they have hamburgers and hotdogs, a deli or the kinds of food Carnival has. Can you please tell me what the Windjammer has? TIA

Someone in our group bought a soda with dinner every night and our waiter always filled it up again for her and only charged her for one. I guess it depends on the waiter.
Paradise-sodas and self assist debarkation
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just booked the Paradise last night for my stepdaughter and I. She's interested in getting the soda package but i'm not sure she will drink enough. How much are soda's on board if you just buy one can? Also, what time does the self assist passengers usually debark the ship? We both need to go to work that day and i'm wondering what time we will be getting off. TIA
