Thanks for confirming our dedication to Celebrity. We've never had a bad cruise on a Celebrity ship.
-
Last cruise we were on, on the line that starts with C, the stateroom doors were pneumatic; they closed gently on their own. You couldn't have let them slam if you wanted to.
-
After such a bad experience, you might want to console yourself by stopping by the art auction.

Tip: Port of Charleston allows you to pay the cruise parking fee in advance. Saves a little time in the line to drop off your luggage. Google Port of Charleston. Favorite bar on the Ecstasy? Alchemy, by far. Great bartenders and good service. Get there when it opens (5:00 pm, I think) to grab a seat at the bar.

We were on the Ecstasy out of Charleston in December for a five day Bahamas cruise. We enjoyed it so much we came home and booked the same cruise for next year. We did not see any serious deficiencies or "cut backs". We fondly remember the extremely pleasant staff (and tasty cocktails) at the Alchemy bar.

We have a December sailing on the Edge. We made all of our dining reservations when we booked about a month ago.

We use to sit at the Molecular bar and listen to the bartender tell the folks who wanted a beer or wine to go away to another bar. Remember how they stacked the fruit for the drinks around the inner rim of the bar? One evening a woman walked by and snatched a strawberry out of the bowl and walked off. The bartender went ballistic. He had to replace all of the hulled and washed strawberries for health reasons. The drinks they served back then were always interesting and usually delicious.

Reflection was our first big ship experience with Celebrity. The memories, all good, never fade. You are going to love the suite experience, and you'll be spoiled forever. We're on the Edge in December for the inaugural Caribbean cruise.

We did the Ecstasy cruise a month ago. Liked it so much we have booked it again for next January. Splurged on a suite on U deck. Lots of room, nice balcony. One of our favorite spots for "adult refreshment" was the Alchemy Bar. I agree that the staff and crew are very friendly and welcoming.

On our recent Ecstasy cruise, we chose evening cleaning. The cleaning actually took place mid-afternoon. Fine by us. The steward did a great job.

Ray Brown, Jr jazz quartet is excellent. We just returned from BI cruise on Silhouette. They perform several sets a night in various venues.

Yes it has been charged to that credit card but we want to get rid of that card. I guess just wondering if Celebrity will let us move the charge to another card and credit that one.
Yes Corakari...we have done this. We booked a future cruise while on board and did not have the credit card we wanted to use. When we got home, I called the Capt. Club. She was able to change the deposit to the new card with no change to our reservation. At first she wasn't sure she would be able to but she worked her magic and one card was credited and the other the card was charged for our deposit.
Hope this helps! Give them a call!

We have never had an unpleasant experience when we contact a Captain's Club representative. They've all been very informative and helpful.

Did you do Celebrity transfer to airport or did you get to the airport independently?
We have done Luggage Valet in the past and it is very convenient . I was just concerned that we HAD to do Celebrity transfers to take advantage of it. But that didn't make sense to me.
We would prefer do book a private shuttle.
We used Luggage Valet earlier this month from Ft. Lauderdale and did NOT have Celebrity Transfers. We had arranged for private car service also. You shouldn't have any problems.

We flew AA out of Ft. Lauderdale to Myrtle Beach via Charlotte. Got off Silhouette Sunday morning.

Just returned from a cruise on Silhouette. Used luggage valet from FLL to MYR. Easy as pie. And nowhere in the paperwork did they say there had to be a minimum number of participants (as in the past). Get the enrollment form from guest services. The deadline for enrolling was the Friday before end of cruise on Sunday. The day before disembarkation, they will leave an envelope in your stateroom or outside your door. The envelope contains everything you need to complete the process, but make sure they give you the two tags needed - one white, the other orange. Our envelope was missing the orange tags, and the customs dec. You need a customs dec. to get off the pier, just like you do when you disembark with luggage. Both tags have to go on your bags. Bags outside the door by 11 PM. Somewhere in the process, the white tag is replaced by the standard airline destination tag. Best $20 (p.p.) spent on cruise!

We were in Mykonos recently on the Reflection. Happily remember saxophonist with English bulldog. Thanks for bringing back the happy memory.

Just got off the Reflection. Dined in Luminae for almost every meal. While I did not see them moving tables around to accommodate a large group (I saw no groups of that size), I am sure it won't be a problem because they really try hard to please. Suggest going right to Luminae after you get on board (they're open for lunch) and speak to the maitre 'd or to Natalia the hostess. Make your request as soon as you can and be sure to remind them of your needs the evening before each day you group plans to dine there. If you're in suites with butler service, he/she can assist with this, also.

That must have been the stateroom we occupied on the Reflection recently. Hidden in an out-of-the way place on the balcony was a huge drinking cup overflowing with cigarette butts.

Thank you for pointing this out. I didn't think anyone was going to remind people of this very important rule.
