I rate November to be too late in the year, even late October in the eastern Med.

If you've lived in Murcia in mid-summer you'll know whether you can hack the heat - I can't so like those who've already responded we avoid high summer.

April into May is usually a good time, even late March in western Med - it's early in the season and there's a "fresh" feeling.

But weather is weather, so climate isn't a guarantee

    JB 🙂.

This will be our first summer in Murcia, used to live in Mallorca but have spent 20+ years in Florida and found the summers getting longer and very humid, so we'll see ..

  2. We haven't cruised a lot, 1 week cruises out of Florida and 1 transatlantic Fl to Barcelona.  From what I'm told the sea is normally calmer going to Europe April/May (as opposed to when the ships return November time) but now that we are living in Europe, we want to do a Med cruise, are there any months better than others for a smoother sailing?  Thanks.

  3. We also used Barcelona Day Tours for a half day Barcelona City excursion when we disembarked from our cruise.    Our guide was very nice indeed, she was informative and the driver too, was very pleasant.  The great thing about what BDT offers is, that they allow people to take their luggage on the bus, wonderful for people cruising and they dropped us right at the door of our hotel at the end - excellent service.  As far as pre-excursion relations go, I must say that BDT's response time to any inquiries and e-mails is second to none.  I would highly recommend them and of course, use their services again.

  4. I'm trying to learn as much as possible about our transatlantic for April on the Norwegian Epic.  I'm getting conflicting reports about specialty dining.  We have a 5 night specialty dining package included - it was a free offer - our personal rep intimated that all we would need to pay is tips to the wait staff .. yet I'm seeing posts about reduced a la carte prices, flat fees, etc.etc.  I'm attempting to work out our budget.  I've sent in an email but it takes 3 days to get a response apparently.  Thanks in advance.
