Bahamas. 2 days in port.
My sister and I will be on that cruise also 🙂
We have pretty much packed what you said above with a few extras.
We are flying from UK in the morning soooooo excited

I've always had 10% discount - UK Military Veteran, been on 3 cruises, Carribbean, Bahamas and Greek never had an issue and was necer told only specific cruises. We call it Blue Light Discount and is for all services active and vets

Where do we pick one up we sail next week and have the refreshment package

There are NO alcoholic beverages included with the Refreshment package anywhere. If you want an alcoholic beverage with dinner, you will be charged for it.
Just as I thought-thank you

Hello confused as to what the alternative to Cafe Latitudes on Serenade is on Independence of the seas please? We have non-alcoholic beverage package and wondering where we get our posh coffees, it seems Cafe Promenade may be the place but it says serves starbucks coffee and im not sure that is included?
Also is there any alcoholic drink included with dinner in the MDR in the evening? The app says premium drinks are not included but what about non-premium
Many Thanks

Double check the operating hours of the store you plan to use. Make sure if doesn't close before you plan to pick up your luggage.
8am to 6pm which works well

Try Bounce (https://usebounce.com/). They usually use UPS Stores for storage locations and their prices per bag are decent (around $7 or so).
Just looked into this and looks ideal! $6 per bag for 24hours, well worth not having to pull cases about all day. Many thanks

Which airport?
Ah yes-this would be helpful - MCO Orlando
-
We have around 7 hours to kill before we have to be at the airport after leaving the ship. Is there anywhere to leave luggage either at the Port, near Cocoa Beach or near airport so we can go and do something (other than the KSC excursion) and not have to lug cases around?
Thanks in advance

We dress up no matter what’s listed. My DD’s 18 and 17 can’t wait to wear old prom dresses. ❤
Same-I wear a cocktail dress every evening, all part of the experience for me

I have the Royal App on my iPhone (I have Iphone 11, pretty old version). I have my cruise added to the app. From the App Home page, click on Daily Planner and the activities are listed day by day. For our April 30 cruise, day 1 and day 2 seem pretty complete. It may vary by cruise.
yes don't think they have planned ours yet as it doesnt mention anything about the evenings yet. I will keep checking though thanks for the heads up

On the Mariner last November, we had Dress Your Best nights as opposed to Formal Nights.
We are on the Serenade on 4/30 and the first 2 days of the Daily Compass are available. At 5PM on Day 2, which is a sea day, it says Tonight's Attire: Formal.
Are others seeing Formal instead of Dress Your Best?
Please can I ask where you can see the cruise compass? I too sail 30/04 but on IOS

We got inside cabin to ocean view balcony on Jewel was very happy-we bid the absolute minimum price. That was Oct 21 tail end of lockdowns

Do we know if there will be a singles event on the Independence to the Bahamas? Its only 4 days but I'd be keen

Another way to save on transfer costs when arriving after dark - overnight near the airport (hotels have free shuttles) then grab a cheap shuttle to PC in the morning.
and the airport hotels are generally cheaper than the beach hotels
Yes i am thinking this now. Would like to have visit cocoa beach but jus seems like too much hassle (expense, luggage, transfers). Thanks again

Ok, now it makes sense - after hours you will probably not find any cheaper from the usual recommended transport companies.
Uber / Lyft is your best best but try one other company - Cocoa Beach Express. They show really cheap rates $28 - for all shuttles on the website ( and check their Facebook page). These guys are affiliated with the Radisson and other local hotels so I trust them. But it is your call!
Do let us know what they say - this service could be a game changer for folks staying near the Port before a cruise.
CBE don't operate after 8Pm unfortunately. We will use Uber/Lyft

Just put a request for a quote in to CBE-will let you know

This seems high for CB Shuttle who is generally one of the cheaper options. Is this an after-hours or off-cruise day booking? Private or shared?
Generally private vans are per ride, not per person and shared shuttles are per person somewhere in the $20 - $40 range.Emails received from CBS huttles as follows
'Good afternoon, 1 passenger after 8pm is $88+18% gratuity. If you would like to schedule, please let me know or call our office at 321-631-4144 at least 2 days before your travel date.
Booking agent,
Jasmine'
So that is $200ish for the two of us, Lyft coming up between $70-80 so I think we will go with that but will have a look at the other recs first
Many Thanks All

Hi can anybody advise how much a taxi is from Airport to Cocoa Beach area or recommend a shuttle (not CB Shuttle as they are quoting $88 per person)
Thank you
