Lifeboats weren't blocking the view but they were right below us.   That said, we just got off Allure and did two connecting rooms on deck 14 and those had an extended roof over the balconies and I much preferred the location we had on deck 7 to 14.  I think you'll enjoy the location - its easy to get to the main decks and kids club.

    Thank you!

    Hi all.

I've booked two connecting oceanview balcony rooms on an upcoming Allure cruise. 7574/7576 - I'd love to see actual photos of these rooms/balconies/views (lifeboats, etc). Any pros/cons anyone knows of with staying in this location? This is our 1st Royal cruise and want to be sure we're in a great spot.

We'll be traveling with our three children (9, 8, 3) and my in-laws (staying forward on deck 7)

We have these same cabins booked for April. We are traveling with my daughter and grandson (15 months).  Can you tell me if there were any lifeboats blocking the view.

  3. I used them for a few tours and they were great, they use different guides for different tours.

I did a tour where they held my luggage to the rainforest with Luquillo beach. Went great, ate at both location in the forest and at the kiosks to try the different food. Totally recommend them.

What are you trying to do with them ?

I was thinking a tour of San Juan or something to kill time before our flight. Not sure just looking for options!

  4. Has anybody used them for a post cruise excursion with drop off at airport? We have a 430 flight so trying to do something before heading to the airport so we don't have to sit there for hours and hours. Any other tour recommendations would be helpful.

I believe this hotel is now the Bavarro. Does anyone know if they offer the same deal? I just saw this offer when searching for one day passes. We are in Aruba 8am - 11pm. I have been to Aruba a few times so no need to tour the island. This seems like a great deal and relaxing day. Can anybody let me know if they Have done this and how the resort and food were?

  6. We will be on AOS in April and will be in St Thomas on Easter Sunday. I was wondering if anyone knows if the stores and vendors will be open while in port. I am trying to decide what to do on the island but don't want to include shopping if the stores aren't open due to the holiday.

Cruise Compasses for Adventure of the Seas Nov 26 to Dec 2 sailing is available at this link https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By...FVYc2F1MFEzWFU

Doesn't look like the link is working. Check Adventure of the Seas forum and you should see a thread for Cruise Compasses - It was just posted recently . It should be on the first page of the threads.

  8. My girlfriend and I had the ultimate package on the NYE Oasis sailing, thought it was worth every single penny! It is a little intimidating upfront with the $60+ per day price tag, and came in at $442.50 per person for the 7night Oasis sailing. Considering how much we drank we well got our monies worth, plus had the peace of mind knowing our cost upfront and not having to worry about a huge bar tab/bill at the end of the cruise. I was drinking 6 to 8 bottles of water plus 2 or 3 Powerades a day to stay hydrated, so figure $30 right there in water/powerade. The coffee served in the windjammer is horrid, so we got iced lattes from cafe promenade every morning for about $5 each. I would drink about 6 beers throughout the day by the pool at about $5 each, plus 2 or 3 frozen cocktails which where about $10 each. Throw in 2 glasses of wine at $10 each a shot of baileys with desert, and a couple vodka cocktails at night for $8 a pop. There really is a value to be had with the packages as I saved a ton of money based on my vacation drinking. It is also nice to order whatever you want, whenever you want and being able to try new things and if you don't like it no money wasted!

Powerade is available on all ships? Is that in bottles? What packages is that included with?

  9. Hello!

We will be cruising on the Vision of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) in March 2015. We're stopping at Belize, Honduras, Costa Maya, and Cozumel

    Few questions:

    - New to the "my time dining"...would you recommend making dinner reservations ahead of time? Travel agent said not neccesary...but I've heard you can wait if no reservations are made.

    - Anybody have a recent Compass on hand? Not looking for an entire week..just a sample of show times and what not.

    thanks so much![/quote

Check out the other forums for Vision. Someone was nice enough to post the compass from one of the first cruises on this itinerary. Hope this helps. We are sailing in April.
