Wonderland was on the cruise planner for our cruise origionally,in fact all restaurants & their menus were as per any RCI cruise but the more questions I asked the more changed on the cruise planner until Wonderland itself vanished!

As you can tell from this (& Hadleys') excellent reviews these cruises are very different but RCI seemed to be ignoring that fact for some reason!

I know. Hence my question!  Wonderland itself can't have vanished down the rabbit hole.

Thankfully the OP has advised it's still there for us to try.

  2. Hi All

I have been reading that the drinks package is likely to be increase come 1 January.  Is that the case for all ships and all homeports or just USA based ships?

We are cruising in October in Asia  - if they are increasing we would be wise to sort them out now. (currently sitting at AU$69).

  3. Hi there

Can someone please tell me about a drinks card?

I know there is a coffee card but have only just read about a drinks card (alcohol).

Hubbie and friends dont drink enough for a drinks package.

We are going on Quantum in October 2019.

    TIA

  4. Hi guys

    Could you help me out?

I'm Lactose intolerant and love my lactose free coffee and cereal in the morning.

I've stayed at many 5* hotels that don't offer Lactose Free milk instead suggesting soy or almond milk.

Can I ask if RCCL have LF milk - especially on Quantum class ships?

    Thanks

On Anthem in Feb., 2018  I ordered cans of soda (diet coke) for the minibar. Could order 6, 12, 24 at a time. I ordered 24 for our 12 day cruise, came out to just under $2 per can. I only drink max 2 per day so soda package didn't make sense for me. Can take them anywhere on the ship. Don't know if this is available on all RC ships.

Is this a regular option to do? We are going on Quantum in Oct 2019.

    Great idea!

  6. As someone who sails with 2 teens- iMessage over ship wifi works great. The message function using the ship app basically doesn't work. Maybe 2 adults using it would, but with teens it really doesn't bc as Bob said, you sort of have to have the app on for it to work--we often wouldn't get messages until the next day. Just my opinion, but the main time you'll want to communicate is at night. If teen is in your room that makes it easier to know when she's home for the night. And we say that starting at 10pm they need to text us every hour telling us where they are--so if we want to meet up we have an idea of their location.
Thanks Brookemill - she is in our room and tbh I think she will be with us in the evenings. She, at this stage, isn't convinced she'll be joining any teens in the 'kids club'!

  7. You don't need to notify them, you just keep your luggage in your stateroom on the last night and walk off the ship with it during the designated self-assist departure time, which will be listed in the "As You Depart" letter you get in yor stateroom a couple days before the end of the cruise.
    Awesome. Thanks Clarea :)

  8. Thanks everyone. I'm an Android user she's a iPhone user so we will try with hangout etc. The IQ app may work out for us too.

We'll definitely be doing the 'meet us here at x time' thing too and meals are a family affair.

I was just concerned that being with 4 adults - she may need a break from us. :)

We've chosen the ship to have loads of stuff to do together anyways so let hope :)

  9. Hi Guys. We are booked to go on Quantum next Oct from Tianjin to Singapore (repositioning).

We are travelling with two adult cruise virgins and our 16 yr old daughter.

When we cruised in the past we didn't have to worry about where our daughter was as she was either with us or in kids clubs.

Just wondered what everyone does to 'find' each other. I'm sure my daughter will like to 'chill' on her own without having her parents next to her - plus our friends.

We are travelling from Australia so our phone sims will not be local. We will purchase 1 internet package so she can do what teenagers do!

Someone mentioned '2 way radios' but that wouldn't be 'cool' in my daughters eyes.

    Any ideas?

  10. I wish someone would clarify this, we are sailing on Ovation next month, on the cruise planner it's showing a charge for ifly and northstar but I've read other reports saying no charge for them, Strange for RC to charge for something that was for free.

Wonder if charges will apply for our cruise next year. Technically a repositioning cruise and surely with more international passengers.
