If you did not mention this on the post-cruise survey (or even if you did), send an E-mail to customer relations letting them know how you feel about the lack of a second chair.

I did comment about it in the survey but I like your idea of sending an email to customer relations too.  Thanks!

  2. Great minds think alike!  Yes, that was my first thought, but they were wet and needed to be dried off and I didn’t think that it would be a good permanent solution to the issue.  Fortunately I was able to get the steward to provide a regular club chair (like in the cabin photo), so they must have had some chairs stashed somewhere.  It cost me a big tip, but it was worth it.  Regardless of how I solved my situation, I still think Princess is being deceitful by not either putting up a new chair-less photo or clearly stating “club chair pictured is not available on (list of Princess ships from which chairs have been removed)”.

  3. Princess always provides a great value - lots of interesting short-term and long-term itineraries.  Our recent 5-day Cabo San Lucas on the Ruby Princess on 2/28/19 is a perfect example - a nice getaway trip, particularly if you live in Southern California and can drive & park at the pier.  I think the food is quite good, as well as the entertainment, shipboard ambience and service from every department.  HOWEVER, they have removed the comfortable club chair from every balcony cabin, which leaves only one desk chair remaining in the room.  That’s it!  So if there are two of you in a cabin, only one person can be seated in a chair if you have a room service breakfast or have cocktails or wish to play cards or want to sit in a comfortable chair to read a book.  Celebrity and Holland America provide small sofas in their balcony cabins so it seems really crazy for Princess to remove the only semi-comfortable chair from their cabins.  Why would they make a bad situation worse?  So....if you like to stand and eat in your room or if you never want to get out of bed or if you like to wear your pajamas to the Lido  breakfast buffet, Princess is the right cruise line for you!  You can also pay more for a mini-suite (which we usually do) which also solves the problem.  Overall a great cruise line and a favorite of mine, but bring back the chairs!  Finally, what bothers me the most is that Princess continues to show that non-existent club chair in their balcony stock cabin photo/diagram.  That is, quite frankly, deceptive and apparently done on purpose.  How hard is it to swap out a photo/diagram?
