  1. I no one can predict the weather (hurricanes) but any reason to be concerned about scheduling a cruise in southern or eastern caribbean in July.  Any advice as to what precautions should be taken if reserving a cruise in that region in July?  Cruise insurance etc?

    Thank you in advance

  2. Wow! thank you so much to all. I will review this information and follow these links in hopes of clearing things up. I was just unclear on the process. As I booked my Celebrity cruise through AMEX and paid for the full package for premium drinks, internet, and everything else plus a credit for onboard spending. But, now when I login to my Celebrity account it is asking me to set up all cruising dining. so when I go to that page it shows prices next to each item.

  3. We are scheduled for a cruise on the Celebrity Edge in March and Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas in June.

This will be our first experience on a cruise and the dinning options have us confused.

I hear about buffets, restaurants, set dining times. What's included and what's not.

Currently I do not think we have any dining plans setup, but can't we eat at the buffets at any time? But I am reading they are crowded?

What food is included in the cruise price?

If we reserve dining plans we have to pay for those meals?

We have no plans on the RCI cruise but we are staying Aquaclass on the Edge and I understand we can eat at the BLU, but I assume we have to pay for meals there correct?

Any help in understanding this food things would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Haven't done that itinerary, but love the ship.

If you do the sixth deck, do the port side as the smoking area is on deck five starboard.

Great entertainment and a very friendly crew.

We loved the variety of food venues.

To us where we go isn't that important.

    Enjoy your cruise!!!

Never even thought about the smoking areas. thank you! Would this apply to the Freedom of the Seas also as we are considering a cruise for 7 days out of puerto Rico

  5. Very first cruise and we are wanting it to be a good one.

This is a 9 day cruise and we wondered if anyone had any feedback regarding this itenerary

Cape Liberty, New Jersey | Cruising | King's Wharf, Bermuda | Cruising | Philipsburg, St. Maarten| San Juan, Puerto Rico | Labadee, Haiti | Cruising | Cape Liberty, New Jersey

It will be my wife and I and our 23 and 20 year old sons. Our concerns are as follows

    1. Avoiding drunk rowdy crowds, hoping the 9 day trip will limit that. We don't mind a few drinks here and there just really turned off by the large conglomerates of drunks.

    2. My wife being seasick. Do we want a mid low cabin? Is the 6th level low enough or considered low? She will want the balcony.

    3. Itinerary for these ports

    4. Hoping to stay a few days in New York when we return as I have never been there.

Thank you in advance, I am hoping this will become a tradition for years to come as it seems to be a great way to see the world.

  6. This is the first cruise for our family and I know it will be difficult but looking for the best fit. My wife and I are almost 50 and we don't mind an occasional drink from time to time and are more laid back. Not big partiers. We have two boys one will be 23 and the other 20. Kind of a last trip together most likely. They are younger and do not mind the crazy pool crowds or crowded areas but my wife and I are looking for a more relaxed cruise.

We are looking at a 14 day mediterranean cruise, Spain, Italy. Like the price of Royal Caribbean adventure of the seas but i am worried the crowd will be unruly and more of a party atmosphere. I read of a recent post of the 3 things you hate most about a cruise and many mention unruly drunks which leads to unruly kids.

I have also hear many say that longer cruises and cruises away from the american crowd should be fine on RCCL. I am american and do not intend to offend just what I am reading.

Any advise would be appreciated or other cruise line options for the mediterranian

    Thanks
