We were supposed to attend a brunch onboard today that was cancelled last minute. I feel bad for everyone who is supposed to head out today.

Thank you for the reply. This sounds like a nice birthday treat for my little one. We got very few details. Just that the Rocketts would be there and that they'd have a children's dance party with Nick characters. I am looking forward to a ship tour.

We received an invitation to have brunch on the Breakaway to celebrate her first birthday. Has anyone participated in similar events that can let us know what to expect? Based on a survey we received from NCL recently, we believe we got the invitation, because we have an infant who will also be turning one this year.

Babysitting services are provided as group sessions in the kids club. There are no private sitting services available. If you are comfortable sending your kids to the club, this is no different. We don't stay out late, so we don't often use the group sitting. We have left the children onboard for fee based port play when they didn't want to get off the ship one day. That made me very nervous, but my kids had a great day.

I thought they stopped up selling the Garden Villas. You are going to have an amazing time. We've done the Garden Villa three times on Jewel class ships. It's hard going back to regular rooms after being spoiled in the Garden Villa!

We just cruised on the Gem in February. Our 2 year old ate off the adult menu in specialty restaurants at no charge. We didn't order entrees for her often, because portions were adult sized. She'd usually have an appetizer or two and a side.

I wish there was a way to get a straight answer! For some reason, they will only give us the $250 from the DASHSALE. They wouldn't even let our TA elect to take just the higher suite credit. This is so frustrating!

Does anyone know if the following promotions are combinable:
SUITEOBC: booking suite 9 months in advance
LATOFFER: monthly latitudes promotion
DASHSALE: kids sail free + up to $250
Our TA can't get a straight answer from Norwegian, so I'm hoping the experts here can help!
Thanks.

Thanks all! We've had 2 trips in the GV where we got a dinner and 1 where we didn't. It seems that it is quite common.

Did the concierge give you one dinner in a specialty restaurant as a Garden Villa perk? We're trying to decide if we want to book the UDP, and this would make a difference in whether it makes financial sense. Thanks!

I suspect it refers to the group sitting at night. That's quite misleading text if it is the case.

We just cruised with our 4 children on the Pearl in the Haven. 8, 6, 2, and 6 months. We had an amazing time. We ate breakfast every morning in the courtyard. The older 2 spent some time in the kids club, but for the most part, we participated in ship activities as a family. The 6 month old was happy with all the new things to see. The 3 oldest slept in the second bedroom and the baby slept in a pack and play by the bathtub. We ate in specialty restaurants every night. We just made sure we had early reservations so the kids didn't disturb others. We've looked at Disney, but for the price, I'd chose the Haven any day. As long as you don't need childcare to enjoy yourself. Ask me any questions you might have!

We've had a bottle of wine decanted and served to us in Cagney's on the Jewel. It was a bottle we bought onboard, not one we brought with us.

Not that I have ever used. We stayed in 14000.

Brings back such great memories! My now 2 year old was born 9 months after we sailed in that very room ;)

I hope the above link works. Recent story about getting items returned to us! We e-mailed the ship coordinator, and they instructed us to call the Lost and Found department. Seems like phone is the only way to go.

We tendered in St. Thomas and Tortola last week. In Tortola we did a NCL excursion to The Baths and the ferry picked us right up from the ship, so we didn't have to take the standard tenders. I didn't get off the ship in St. Thomas. I stayed onboard with my mother in law, because she couldn't tender in her wheelchair. Hopefully others have some more input!
