Ok thanks for the advice both of you.

Our first cruise is on Celebrity Summit out of San Juan which departs at 20:30 and I expect we will get to the ship around 15:00-16:00.

Will our room be ready at this time?

We will have a cabin bag and a suitcase each. If the room is ready should we take the cabin bags on board with us, or if not should we check them and just take a small amount of carry on?

Also, is there a welcome drink and is this complementary?

Thoughts on turning up early afternoon? Will we have to queue and will it be busy?

Are the staff that deliver room service included in the tips pool and therefore covered by our auto gratuities or should I tip them every time?

Called them as this offer wasn't showing on my account and got it no problem.

I haven't cruised yet but did contact them and now our reservation has celiac next to my wife's name on it. Not sure if this will make a difference on board but perhaps worth doing for those concerned. We chose Celebrity in part because of the good reviews for gluten free so fingers crossed it will be good.

Here’s the trick.

 

1. Turn off the TV.

2. Unplug the “phone” style data cable from the back of the TV.

3. Plug your device into any HDMI port.

4. Turn on the TV using the front panel controls.

5. Use one of the dots on the left of the panel controls to switch input.

 

The provided remote won’t work - you have to use the front panel for volume.

 

To reverse it to normal, turn off the TV, plug in the data cable, turn the TV on again.

Keep in mind that the answers might be different next year. All staterooms on the Summit will be completely refurbished during its long dry dock in early 2019. I think it's a safe assumption that TVs will be replaced.

Good point but our cruise is this year.

Interested in this also, looking to connect my firestick to back of tv. From searching this forum it seems like this is possible if I disconnect what's in the HDMI port already and also the internet cable to TV.

Is this info correct for the Summit in a regular cabin?

I am from the UK, should I buy this now with 20% off (but plus VAT?) or wait till international waters to upgrade?

 

Also I have a classic drinks package included with cruise deal - I take it I can phone them and ask to pay the difference less the 20% offer?

Logged in and looked at sale items but this offer wasn't there, I take it I am not eligible or still worth a phone call? The only dining offer was a discounted package on 3 speciality restaurants - 2 dinners, 1 lunch.
