We passed twice on the 3 day pre and post 3 day Regent package in Tokyo.

Took the credit. Booked our own hotel and our own private guide and transport to and from the port. We had a first class experience while in Tokyo on our own planning. We don’t like experience that Regent provides.

Thank YOU for YOUR comment. Could YOU please give more informations about YOUR private guide and transport ? Thank YOU in advance.

Our experience from our last cruise, Spring 2022, that Regent UK guests no longer  receive the nice pre embarkation pack enclosing leather/paper luggage tags etc. UK guests were expected to collect the paper tags for their luggage to fill in whilst at the embarkation port.
Hopefully Regent UK have addressed this in 2023 and UK guests will receive the same quality and experience as our overseas friends.

It is the same for the Regent customers in Switzerland 🤢

  3. We too made a superb 3-day private tour in St. Petersburg with Alla in September 2019, and it was a really great experience. We had an excellent french-speaking guide Maria and a perfect driver whose name we don't remember.  The visits were tailored to our interests and we enjoyed this port of call very much.

We saw video of the crew welcoming everyone onto Marina and there were a lot of smiles behind those masks. We did see one person without a mask however but they were all outside on the pier.

From the people who sailed on Marina’s 4-5 day test cruise prior to today, they said all the redo and updates were wonderful. O did not just waste time doing nothing for 18 months.  AND the new menus are outstanding. Maybe they will offer a Free subscription to Weight Watchers for us all when we get back aboard Marina and Riviera in the coming days and weeks. 👍🤪🤞

Like all of you, we are interested in the Embarkation processes and are 🙏for a successful cruise launch and continued Oceania cruising.  We did see that the Norwegian Gem in Alaska had a person test positive aboard so we all will need to be careful and take precautions when we sail, tested and vaccinated and hopefully ever Boostered. We intend to get our booster this week, can not be too careful 😷🤞🙏

Please could you tell us where this video can be seen or downloaded, thank you

Thank you for your interesting comment about Marina ship . We will be on Marina for two cruises starting on January 22 and we are happy to be on board again.

Could you please transmit the best regards to the Cellarmaster Loredana from two guys JP & André from Switzerland who will be pleased to meet her again if she will still be on Marina

Thank you very much and have a nice cruise.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

  6. We respect Pepin's cuisine, but french cuisine has changed already décades ago.

Great Chefs today prefer much lighter dishes and combinations.

We have one of the best restaurants two miles from where we live, and their food is quite different from that on Oceania.

It's in German, but still really helpful.  Public spaces, restaurants, and video of a PH and verandah cabin.  He actually shows the re-done bathroom in the Verandah cabins.  I think the ship looks just wonderful.  Still very much "country club inspired" with an updated palette.  But, that's just my opinion.

    Very nice , thank You

The US is very strange.  In Switzerland you can hardly buy any OTC medicines.  Almost everything is on a prescription basis and only recently have the supermarkets started selling things like Glucosamin.  In the US you can buy a huge number of things OTC.  Yet not Benelin?   I asked when I was there once and needed cough syrup.  Was told - no.  We don't have  it.

Hambagalhe, medicines with codeine were available OTC in Switzerland until 31st december 2018, but now codeine syrup is delivered by prescription only due to a new regulation in effect since 1st january 2019.

Yes, Hambagahle and forgap, I confirmed that the important looking building is the Pink House, sort of like an Argentina White House but not exactly.

thanks boatmans lady, jimbri, and goarmy for the well wishes.  I really hope we make it onshore at the Falklands.  I have not shared the poor odds with George yet.

stumblefoot, George had his hat on all day today.

portolan, glad you all arrived safely, and I presume are onboard.  Do you know when the meet and greet is going to be?

It is Indeed the * CASA ROSADA" , the building of the Argentina government

I plan an air deviation from Montreal to Lisbon with Air Canada operating by Swiss  Air. They have a stop in Zurich of 5 hours or Geneva a stop of 2h15 before going to Lisbon.

Which airport would you choose ?

Candrey, in MO i would choose Geneva, whose airport is smaller and easier for transit. In Zurich You have to change the terminal but not in Geneva.

i wish you a pleasant flight.

We also booked a private excursion to the same area to see the pink dolphins. Some of our group went in the water with them but do your research on what lurks in the river!! A fantastic day.

Hi Sunnies, thank you for your comment.

Could you please recommend your local operator and give us his name and the website. Thank you in advance

Regent has contracted with KLM in the past but contracts change.  KLM is part of the SkyTeam Alliance that also includes Delta (another airline that Regent has used quite extensively).  Did you try to deviate 270 prior to the cruise?  I ask because Regent contracts are only for a specific number of seats on each flight.  When they no longer have contracted seats available, they stop booking the carrier.

I use this website to determine which flights are available, which are the fastest to the destination, etc.  We deviated our flight that is leaving next week and decided upon Lufthansa which we find is a good airline and contracts with Regent.  We also fly British Airways through Regent.  Hope that you find flights that you are comfortable with.

I'm agree withTravelcat2 Lufthansa is a very good airline try businees class much better as KLM

  13. As a frequent cruiser with Oceania we ordered several times the 7 bottles-package which is sold at an acceptable price. But there are problems with that package:

    1) It may happen that when you order one of the bottles of your package on the first evening of the cruise, that the "sommelier" tells you that the bottle is not available because the wine had not yet been unpacked (very strange) ????

    2) After a few days some of the wines of the package may be sold out and you have to choose another wine out of the list. Why can't they put aside or reserve the bottles bought in the package and refuse further orders once the available quantity has been sold out ??? The gestion of the stocks seems to be rather strange, since the bill that we have to sign when we drink each bottle, does not mention the correct wine (either another wine or no wine name at all).

    3) Most of the so called sommeliers are not interested in serving bottles from a package. Some of the head cellar-masters have a very good expertise and know their job very well, but others do not.

In addition to the package they have a good choice of wines at different prices.
