sorry late in responding. I believe that the Vietnam one is done on the ship. But I will need to look into that as well. Thanks for the reminder. See ya on the ship!
Well let me know if you find out before I do, okay? And I'll do the same! :D

Dang, too bad. I don't have a TA and would like to find a good one. I've already booked my latest cruise but if I can get money off, that would be awesome!
-
Princess is one of the few that makes it pretty easy to transfer to a TA. PM me if you need help finding one
This is a dumb question but i can't figure out how to PM you.

Sounds like overall, most like EZ. I can't book flights yet because my cruise is in 2019, but I'm definitely going to use them when I do. Thanks for all the information!!
-
I guess I need to call Princess to see why the OBC isn't showing on our account.

If you have time , stay a few days in Singapore.....beautiful clean city...cab drivers are good. We stayed at Marriott Tang Plaza hotel....highly recommend.
We definitely will at the end of the cruise. Our daughter-in-law is from Singapore and she and our son will be there when our cruise disembarks. We will spend 3-4 days with their family. It will be our first time in Singapore, but we met many of the relatives who came over here for the wedding, really looking forward to it.

Excellent, thanks for the responses. We used Norwegian's flight program on our last cruise and I wasn't too thrilled with it--all domestic flights, but red eyes, etc. This one will be international, we're doing the Grand Asia cruise so need to get to Shanghai first and then leave from Singapore. I really want the security of the protection if there are flight delays, etc, but I don't want crappy flight times and high prices. With the international flights, there are limited flights, so the crappy flight times problem is solved!

Has anyone booked their flights through Princess Ezair? Pluses and/or minuses?

I have the same question as Navy wife and Flafun888. I just booked a caribe balcony cabin for a Grand Asia cruise in January of 2019 and I don't see that any OBC on my account.
-
We just booked this cruise also! Very excited!!! 144 hours is 6 days, we will be arriving hopefully the same day, so I believe we don't need to worry about the Chinese visa. We do need to get the Vietnam one though, I think.

I agree with the comment about better food in the MDR. I'd like to see better food in all venues. I've cruised mostly with Princess, once with RCCL, and once with NCL. I found them all fairly comparable, but NCL's food is a big step below both the others.

We didn't have any glue smell that I noticed either. It really wasn't a big deal, the workers were very accommodating--we'd have to step around the carpet and pad in the areas they were working, but that was it.
-
Sorry fizzy - still not "getting it". Is the G.M. suppose to have carpeting replaced mid-sea?
I haven't sailed Regent and am not commenting on the Navigator, just on the question of whether a carpet can be replaced mid-sea. Yes it can, and the carpets in the hallways were replaced on our recent cruise on Norwegian. It took about 1-1/2 days for the hallway our room was located on. We had to watch our step, but the workers were very accommodating and we had no problem with it.

We began with Princess, then went to river cruising with Viking and Vantage; had a couple of land trips and a foray with NCL and Celebrity and after an aborted trip on a Viking Oceans we are back to Princess. We are looking forward to seeing South America on the Star Princess next February. It is good to shop around and after seven years of not being on a Princess ship it will be interesting to see how they have changed.
I agree. We had only done Princess and loved all our cruises with them, but then won an RCI cruise. We upgraded to the full Panama Canal cruise with them and loved it. Then shopped for our next cruise and the lowest pricing for the cruise we wanted was with NCL.
Our feeling was there were pluses and minuses with all three cruise lines, but I'd cruise each of them again. It's now been awhile since we sailed Princess and I am anxious to try them again to see the changes I've read about.
But all in all, out of the three, we felt the differences were minor. The entertainment on RCI was much better than either Princess or NCL. The food on Princess was the best and on NCL the worst. Out of the three, I'd rate NCL last, but still had a great cruise with them.
I will be interested if you post your thoughts on the differences between Princess and the cruise line you choose to try.

That is where we bought our Boston tour--it was available at the tour desk a few days before the end of our cruise. It may have been available before that, but we didn't think about doing it until we saw it in the daily paper. I also don't know if it was available to buy on the website prior to the cruise.

Same here. I don't drink soda or coffee, but love my iced tea! And the sweetener just ruins the taste for me.
-
The iced tea on the Dawn in the buffet by the coffee, etc, is unsweetened. I know because I won't drink sweetened iced tea.
-
Yes, it is, in the buffet. I like it in the morning instead of coffee and would bring a couple of glasses from the buffet to my room every night so I would have it in the morning.
-
I hope we do, for the money we should see pretty much everything! lol
We'll each wear an old pair of Keens which should do well in the water, plus are closed toe. I'm getting excited--28 days out! :D

Thank you for your response. I found some pretty good reviews of this excursion on Trip Adviser so we went ahead and booked it. You're right, it is way more expensive than the other one--we are making this our "big" excursion of the cruise!
I'll post about our experience when we return, early May.
Thanks again!
-
Has anyone done this excursion? We're looking at this one or the Half-Day Land Rover Safari. We like the idea of the UTV because we drive ourselves and it's 3-1/2 hours versus 4-1/2 hours for the safari, but there are great reviews of the safari and no reviews of this excursion.
Would love to hear anyone's experiences!

Booked a BD guaranty on Dawn for an April cruise about 120 days out. Was assigned 9090 almost immediately. Now about 2 months away from the cruise. Looks like a decent location. Have been on several cruises, only booked a guaranty once before with good luck, so I'm not too worried. As far as I can tell it's not obstructed, which would be the only thing that would ruin it for me.

Never mind, I figured it out (on the left side!)
Couldn't figure out how to delete this thread. Appears I'm very internet challenged today! :p

We just booked our first Norwegian cruise and I am trying to plan shore excursions. It seems they are grouped every way except by location, i.e alphabetical, pricing, rating, and relevance.
It seems really strange to me not to be able to group them by the actual port, so that you can compare them to each other. Am I just missing how to do this?
Chinese Visa info making my head spin!

I didn't realize there was a March 2018 sailing--yes they will be able to tell us, I'm sure!
