  1. We too got off the Glory on Saturday. Never heard anything about the waterslide being cut into scrap. Disappointed boys in our group, but did not ruin the cruise. Biggest problem I encountered was our cabin (Deck 2 AFT). It sounded like we were in the space shuttle or as we renamed it "The Thunder Dome".

Went to Guest Services to politely complain and the person helping me acted like she never heard of this before and kind of brushed us off like we were crazy. (she did make a note of it though). I went back to our room and shot a quick video of it sounds like a Harley idling and you can see the water in the water bottles shaking.

Back to Guest services got a new lady who did not want to see the video as she told me they get complaints EVERY week on this issue. They did compensate us and the couple next door and moved the couple after them to a better room. (only one room was open).

They also said as of two weeks ago no more OBC, for problems it has to be On board Experiences. They kept pushing the spa but we declined. Here is a breakdown of the compensation.

$300 in On Board Experiences. Here is what we received.

    Complimentary Bath robe to keep

Dinner for 2 at the Steakhouse

and they credited us all of our alcohol on our sail and sign. :)

We still were in the green $20.63 at end but was non refundable so we will not see that.

  2. Well I noticed that there are no 4 and 5 day cruises from Galveston after December 2016.

What I really want is a decent ship in Puerto Rico. It is my favorite place to cruise from, but I'm not sailing on the Fascination.

I agree you would think the ports of call from San Juan there would be a ship with more balconies. We did it almost 2 years ago on the Liberty which I felt was the perfect size ship

  3. I hung a 4x6 pirate flag on our balcony last Sept. found a pipe above the balcony to zip tie it to. Nothing was said, However after the first day I found it too windy to leave it down so I rolled it up while traveling and pinned it with a few clothes pins. When we got to port I would remove the pins and let it fly. I will have to see if I can find any pics. :)

  4. We are cruising the Splendor in Feb. I am ready to book the Pride and have certain cabin numbers picked. Waiting til i am onboard so i can have that OBC

We are cruising in Feb on the Fascination and are ready to book the Liberty and have cabins and back ups picked. Hoping the ones we want are still available then:rolleyes:

  5. Yes. As long as they book the same cruise as you and do so within 60 days they also get the same OBC.

    Thanks Fred,

I pretty much boycotted booking a cruise while on a cruise after they did away with the FCC's. But now knowing what we are doing it makes sense to at least get the OBC and vouchers.:)

  6. You can still access your booking and make payments. You can also submit price reductions on line anytime. With a TA you must go thru the TA.

Thanks, I had a PVP for quite a few years, ended up going with a friend who is a TA but, she has become pretty busy and does not like to offer ES price reductions. I know I can do it on my own, but also like the extra benefit of a PVP as long as when you do find that price drop they will call you back :)

  7. When you book on board, you will get two "Friends and Family" certificates which will entitle them to the same onboard credit you got for booking on board. They have to book within 60 days of your original on board booking.

Is this always offered? We are sailing next month and planning now for our cruise next year. I have been debating if a reduced deposit sale happens between now and then or going for the $100.00 OBC. But the Friends and Family certificate would make the decision that much easier. :)

  8. Eagle Ray Divers does a nice snorkel tour, done that a few times. If you want to do it on your own go to Chankannabb I see a lot of the snorkel companies stopping right off of their beach. Once we found Cankannabb we no longer booked through the snorkel companies

  9. Does anyone know anything about this stateroom? The balcony is extra long for some reason. Pics? Reviews?

Looking at the deck plans and then finding a room very close to this one on cruiselinerooms dot com it looks like a great room!

We book L shaped rooms on ships that offer them and love the triple balcony and extra window in the room! :)

    look at room 7258
