I think it is still $30, just means you don’t save as much as you used to.

Sorry to disappoint, but per Azamara website today:

Specialty dining is complimentary for suite guests. For others, there is a $35 per-person cover.

A friend and I were on the Quest Barcelona cruise last week (2nd Quest cruise in 6 weeks); we booked this online back in February during their limited time offer of $1000 OBC per cabin. Long story short—-there was no OBC in our accounts when we boarded the ship and we were not able to get the Guest Relations Desk to remedy this; they said we booked a “last-minute voyage” (which was inaccurate). I have emailed Guest Relations and the Loyalty department; anyone have any suggestion on best way to handle this?

Several of us were planning on booking another cruise on their current special, but now are apprehensive!

Guarantee staterooms are generally available to be booked after final payment date (i.e., 4 months prior to a cruise).  And these guarantee staterooms are not eligible for the limited time offers - they are considered "last-minute voyage".

I strongly questioned the decision on our b2b bonus and they pulled the "fine print" ... some written rule that I'd never seen or heard of previously.

Sorry, but don't blame Azamara because you didn't read the Terms and Conditions.  That "fine print" as you call it, has been there for some time.  I recall reading it early last year when I was thinking of booking a B2B.

The Terms and Conditions clearly state that if you book cruises that are sold as "Last-Minute Voyages" deal then the B2B bonus doesn't apply.

  4. Celebrity recently updated their requirements for Spain and the Canaries - guests must book a Celebrity shore excursion to go ashore.  NCL and RCCL have the same requirement for Italy.

Other than requirements for Greece, I don't see that Azamara has published any country-specific information for upcoming cruises.  Does anybody have information regarding requirements for going ashore in Italy or Spain?

Why isn't it valid?   Cruise only rates are all guaranteed cabins.  So in my comparison  you can $1015pp and select your OV  cabin and get the drinks, wi-fi and daily gratuities or pay $1009 pp. plus $98 for the daily gratuities and  let the computer select your OV cabin.

Yes...let the computer pick your cabin right across from the "freight" elevator that is used by the staff for room service, maintenance etc.  Trust me, it does not make for a pleasant cruise.

I agreed with you suite guests may not be the target however there are often lower categories with minimal or no difference in the AI vs Cruise Only.

Here is the OV pricing for the same cruise in my SS example.  Price difference is $6.92F16DEA-1A78-48A8-83B5-F047A1FD6CCC.thumb.png.7067d02fb59477aa209801b6b3131a82.png

Sorry to say, but your comparison is not really valid - the cruise only rate is for an OV guarantee and the inclusive rate is for OV.

Yep. Speak to the Azamara Circle Manager onboard on the first cruise to sort and make sure you don't miss out. If you have any free nights as a result they will be able to discuss your options there too.

    Phil

Thanks, Phil - that's the answer I was hoping for.  I wasn't aware of any options for the free nights, other than applying the free nights to a new cruise booked within 12 months.

  8. Hey Bob...I just checked RCCL website and it states that the following:

    Q

The country we are returning to after the cruise requires proof of a negative COVID-19 test result for those re-entering the country by international air. For my cruise departing from Barcelona or Rome, will Royal Caribbean administer the required re-entry test? Who pays for it?

    A

For Cruises Departing from Barcelona, Spain

All guests will be required to take a test at the end of their cruise as part of our new protocols when cruising from Spain. If the type of test required to enter Spain does not adhere to your country requirements, we will provide a complimentary COVID_19 test, if it is required for re-entry to your onward country.  Cruise guests should plan to fly home within 24 hours of departing the ship, for the test result to be within the valid window. Additional details will be provided onboard.

Please ensure you check your country of residence local travel guidance for any additional testing that may be required upon your arrival home.

So, there is no mention of the type of test.  Personally, I would have a back-up option.

  9. We are planning our first B2B cruise and trying to decide whether or not to purchase an Experience More package.  The first cruise is 7 nights and the following one is 10 nights.  Does Azamara treat the B2B as one cruise in terms of the Experience More package (wishful thinking on my part, I know) or would I need to purchase the packages separately for each cruise?

  10. Just back from sailing on the Koningsdam and I can say, without a doubt, that the entertainment on this cruise was much better than any production show that I've seen in the past.  From the performers in the World Stage theater to the musicians in Lincoln Stage, BB King's, Rolling Stone and Billboard, there was something for everyone.

  11. Stateroom Number - 4068
    Ship - Pursuit

    Month/Year sailed - January, 2019

Would you choose this room again Y/N -Yes.

Is noise an issue Y/N - No. Had a bit of noise from above on a couple of nights, but wasn't enough to wake my husband.

    Balcony size Normal/Larger/Smaller - N/A.

Any other comments - Loved the location of this cabin and the unobstructed view..  Noise was minimal, as there was minimal foot traffic and a dividing wall across from the cabin (for the newly added section of cabins on Pursuit).

  12. When we were there about 4 years ago, Azamara had a shuttle bus to the beginning of a well known commercial street. I think it is called Florida Street.

Perfect...that's the answer I was hoping to hear. Thank you all for your feedback.
