I am cruising on the Getaway on Sunday 03/24. Our upgrade request for a balcony was accepted today at noon. We were comped for an inside mid ship cabin on deck 10 for the port charges and $140 per person fee. We bid $205 per person and were assigned a balcony room on deck 11 near the aft elevators. We are very happy not to be sailing in 132 square feet!!!!!!

Are these the total price or the amount that you would pay above your current cabin price? This might seem expensive but the starting bid prices that you show are pretty good for these suites on Edge if that is the all in price.
These are the minimum bid per person (first two people in the cabin).

I will be dreaming about this tonight and buying a lottery ticket tomorrow.

AQ class on EDGE has the Infinite "balc"
Sv sounds great!
I agree, I will be happy if we stay where we are.

If you want a true balcony which appears you do, pass on the Concierge and Aqua. I would keep the SV, they are good.
I agree, I want the Edge Villa or stay where I am.

Definitely smart to sit tight! I was fortunate enough to be able to tour all of the suite types and the Edge Villa was definitely my favorite. There is less space than the Iconic, but it has more privacy, better design and colors and just feels peaceful and lovely inside. 🙂
The SVs are very nice too - can't wait to be in mine in 343 days!
I would only consider the Edge Villa, but price would have to come down a lot for that to happen. I appreciate your input.

Sailing the Edge on March 31st. We have a sunset balcony and the starting bid per person on each offering was:
$100 infinite balcony (really, like I would give up a sunset balcony for an infinite balcony and pay more)
concierge $200
$400 aqua
$1500 sky
$2000 celebrity
$3000 royal
$4000 edge villa. I would love an edge villa, but not at that price. Guess I will be very happy in my sunset balcony.
Happy to have read on prior posts that the bids can be lowered. I am hoping they will.

I am following a couple of FB groups and many people on there have said they got an free upgrade to a different room or $200 onboard credit.

Just ordered a couple of beach balls to use for foot rests. I have a sunset veranda, but if I had an infinite balcony, I would definitely by a few yards of black out material and hang curtains so I could sit on the deck while my husband sleeps.
What was your upgrade offer and what did you bid

We also bid 265 for a spa balcony that was rejected, going from inside cabin.
