Does RCCL still allow you to carry on 12 pack of non alcoholic drinks (Pepsi) or water on embarkation day?

We will be in Alesund on 9/5/14 from 7:00 a.m to 5:00 pm. and we are looking for a good way to spend the day. We are not interested in the Trollstigen road so does anyone have any suggestions?

We will be arriving in Stavenger on the Legend of the Seas in early September and have looked at doing an excursion to cruise the Lysefjord and to view Pulpit Rock. Does the cruise ship pass by this on the way into port or is this something you can only see doing an excursion?

Has anyone done the Norway in a Nutshell tour that can give me your opinion of the tour? It is a little pricey and we are trying to determine if it is worth the money.
