The Native Choice tour was great. It was confusing to exit the port and we popped out on the other side than the instructions recommended but still easily found the office. The van was nice and the guide and driver great. Felt safe with them and then they dropped us close to the port so we didn't have to walk far. There is a bathroom in the office and a bathroom break before heading into the ruins and after. Saw a monkey jump from tree to tree!

Did you book native choice for Costa Maya? I have booked them for Feb 14th. If we are going on the same tour we could meet up before heading off the ship and walk together. It's just my husband and I.

Going on Western Caribbean NCL cruice next month. I've read that you might not get change back in USD while in Roatan. Anyone experience this? I know to bring crisp bills in smaller denominations.  Do I need to exchange to pecos for Cozemel & Costa. Maya ports?

I am worried about what type of bag to bring to ports and how to keep it safe when snorkeling. I have waterproof phone pouches but what about towels, clothes, sunglasses & souvenirs. Should I use dry bags, backpacks or a small carry on type? I've read a little about a dry bag that you swim with but that sounds like it would be annoying. Visiting Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya & Cozumel.

Where do you rent the equipment and for how much? Do I need to reserve from the ship or at the port?

Heading to Harvest Caye in February and would love to Snorkel here but the reviews and cost of the NCL excursion are not appealing. Any suggestions?
