Love that cruise along Queensland Coast from Singapore.  Does it stop in Darwin?  What date?

We do too, have done it many times and never tire of it so it's a yes from us... if the prices are fair!!!!!!.......late last year we booked Celebrity Solstice March 2025  Singapore/ Sydney at a brilliant price with 400USD onboard spend... so Royal sharpen your pencil please...😉   Date is 19 November and yes it stops in Darwin.....Lombok we have never called at so one new port for us...

We are now looking at the scandalous insurance instead and doing some homework for the London to Sydney half. Barb has family in England, so it is looking like a UK holiday followed by a cruise home via the Norwegian fjords, Iceland, US, Machu Picchu (another expensive part) and Panama Canal.

Nice plans there, we have lots of family and friends in the UK so plenty to do when we get there...haven't worked out how we are getting home yet...bet it involves a land holiday of some kind though...😊

Not bad for 113 days & nights of drinking money.

Truly though, we are seriously contemplating doing this as standard fare. The itinerary is a bit different, and we kinda like it.

We kinda like the itinerary too, but travel insurance for the London/Sydney sector would be scandalous so we are booking the Sydney/London sector ...be my 1st cruise as a retiree...😉

Unfortunately I'm not even aware I do that until she tells me!!  But I'm going to practice to not do that because i realise it defeats the purpose.

and unfortunately that is always the answer, except for those who still think it's a hoax or they just don't care,  they feel they are owed, entitled to a holiday .....                                                                                          We have cancelled not only all personal cruising but business international travel till early 2025.... hopefully by then people will be more accountable for their actions.....we shall have fun working locally.. with conditions of course........ take care.

How long was your cruise on Majestic and bay46's cruise on Quantam?  Trying to identify a common theme here.  Does the reason they split cruises of 7 days to 5 days and 2 days still apply for not getting covid on a ship, but getting it once you get off the ship  Sounds like you did all the right things to stay free of covid.  Like many people, I've done everything I can to keep myself free of Covid.  I only ate at restaurants outside, wore masks at the theatre and on airplanes and where directed.  Washed my hands often and tried to keep a distance.  My daughter tells me my worse fault is to lower my mask when I'm talking to people.

Omg....your daughter is so right.....why, why, why would you do that ....worst thing ever at the moment... so many pretenders out there...ohhhhh I tested negative... ohhhh I wore my mask, not full time you didn't...oh my goodness where are people's, freaking self preservation skills... you know,, the one's you are born with....

I hear this s*h*t all the time.... I  work in the public hospital system here in FNQ.....so many people say ....oh i did the right thing....bollocks... you didn't...  time people stood up for their mistakes... it's not the ship that let you down... it's you... come on people do the right thing and if you can't stick to simple requests don't freekin cruise until things settle...... Co- vid is still here and you aren't helping things by being so damned COMPLACENT... it's not the ships fault..................IT'S YOURS......so stop blaming them

    it just says unnamed vessel.

Our Enchantment OTS 2 sector round Australia 2024 cruise is now onboard the Brilliance OTS, was confirmed via email sent to a friend by her TA this morning . Time will tell.... I don't particular care which one as long as we have one....😉🤣

I'm so sorry to learn of your major reaction to booster No.2.  When I had my last booster recent a fabuloutly, the nurse asked if I had any heart problems.

We met originally on the inaugural Rhapsody of the Seas cruise from Hawaii.

What a bummer to have to cancel all your cruises except one cruise.

I had no problems with AstraZeneca  or Pfizer so Moderna was a slap in the face big time...at least I'm still here that's all the matters and I will line up for whatever jab is required to get some kind of control over this virus.....

I know we met back in 2007 for  Rhapsody's inaugural cruise to Australia, what a fantastic cruise that was, John and I still laugh about the funny little things, like running out of Australian beer and  tea bags because they didn't think Australians drank tea 🤣 and running briefly  aground on the reef at Moorea...pretty sure we left a bucket load of paint on it...and ...not to mention Johns  rendition of "My Way " in the big theatre had more reruns on the cabin telly than Lassie.... another..oh my gosh moment was me curtesying to the Captain when we had our photos taken, wasn't  deliberate the ship lurched as we were presented to him.......lololol......such wonderful and dearly cherished memories .. won't mention I won 2 prizes in the CC meet and greet.......cruising isn't the same today.....but we shall cruise on.........

  8. Well I give up, sort of😉this new world is proving somewhat of a challenge....unfortunately I had a pretty major reaction to booster #2 being Moderna and ended up in my own, i work in the hospital, ED for 8 hours due to a heart that wanted to do a very fast Samba instead of a waltz.

I now have to declare on my travel insurance for next cruise, in November, that a very old and beautifully managed condition,  cured by star wars surgery,  kicked off due to a CoVid drug !!!!!

My policy has skyrocketed to the point I have just cancelled 4 international cruises between now and August next year, except one which i bought a balcony cabin super cheap..just as well we cancelled our world cruise for next year...shoot me now....😁 😇🤣🤣

Just did a check on our Carnival ships.  Carnival Spirit is still in Dubai although she seems to be at a different berth.  However Carnival Legend has slipped away and is now in the Western Mediterranean at Marseille.  Quite a few other ships over there from various cruise lines.

Sapphire is now off Limassol and Diamond is almost there.

Legend in Marseille dry dock awaiting her new livery, I believe the Spirit will also make her way there for her new colours, Dubai is a cheap lodgings for the Carnival brand ships. A1D5DE9C-5445-48BA-A6D6-2511602B77A2.thumb.jpeg.5dae88430faa978ee03f82c0cd156595.jpeg

Yep that was just a chunk of the cancellation email. I actually just spent an hour on the phone to them to lift and shift to next November on Radiance. I’d still consider a coastal cruise early next year but I’m not optimistic about it actually happening!

Here’s the lift and shift options they sent….

We are booked 🤣🤪, on Serenade OTS repo to Singapore Feb 2022 they forgot🙄 to add it to the list😂😂😂😂😂

Reasonably priced? You are surely jocular.

With all due respect Les, and I have always shown you respect, please don't put me down because i think it's a reasonable price for a product that suits our needs and wants , obviously compared to the giveaway price you paid for the  half worldie you did it's pricey but  that was  a freak once in a lifetime price...  All that matters is for us it has a great itinerary and the pricing fits our disposable savings....and all going well we are going to bloody well enjoy ourselves.

Today I did finally get through to an interested person at Princess who suggested sending an email to solutions@princess.com.au which I will do over the weekend. It will be interesting to see if I get a reply or just the usual stuff like I received from the customer relations email I sent in June namely

Hello and thank you for your email to the Princess Cruises Customer Relations Department. Due to the current unprecedented and evolving worldwide situation, we are experiencing a higher than normal volume.

Please accept this response as an acknowledgement and confirmation that your email has been received. It will be reviewed and responded to in the order in which it was received.  Please note that we are unable to process postal communications at this time.

For those inquiring about voyage refunds, they are being handled manually and accurately in sailing date order priority.  We are committed to providing our guests with the highest level of service.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to serving you in the near future.

The person I talked to did say that they have now process over 90% of the refunds so that's positive and hopefully Princess can devote some time now to resolving the issues

Worth a try, just might try my luck this weekend 😉 thank you.
