  1. Queenofzoom I don’t care about lack of deck space, having to pay for a Vibe Pass, Go Kart, Laser tag or speciality dining or any other options that I may have to pay for.

I am not going on a cruise to sunbathe like 90 percent of people who comment in here do.

I am going on a cruise for the awesome entertainment, food and dining options, to meet new people from around the world and visit spectacular new places and beaches on the port shore excursions.

If I want to sunbathe I’ll do it on my excursions when I visit private beaches and islands.

Yes this is my first cruise but I know what I want and have no issue paying for it.

Also If I want to chill and watch the sea I can do that from my balcony with no issues.

  2. Troll spray when I’m telling the truth?😂😂😂

Its hilarious how so many of you cannot handle that Encore will have a laser tag and not more sun loungers.😂

If the go kart track and laser tag were not popular then they would have not put them on the Encore.

They are extremely popular on the Bliss and Joy and why NCL decided to add them to the Encore.

Like seriously you all knew from the Bliss and Joy there was laser tag and months and months ago from the deck plans that they would also be on the Encore.
You still booked and now complain about deck space?😂

  3. Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble regarding the laser tag but I suggest you all go back and watch the float out.

At the back on the ship where the Norwegian Encore sign is lit up blue, above it you can clearly see 2 huge white pavilions with huge round circles on top which is clearly for the laser tag.

Its on the YouTube video float out at the 43 second mark.

If it had been changed to a sun deck those 2 white pavilions would kinda look embarrassing.😂

  4. Lol at all the complaining on this site.

So many of you complaining that there is not enough space to sunbathe.😂

I’m sorry but if your sole purpose to cruise is to sunbathe then cancel your cruise and go on an all inclusive beach hotel holiday where you will have miles if beaches to sunbathe 24/7!

I’m sure so many of you will come back with ‘your a first time cruiser you don’t know what your talking about’ but I don’t care.

Ive read many reviews of long time cruisers and sunbathing is last on their things to do on a cruise.

Many of them go cruising for amazing dining experiences, entertainment,to meet fellow guests, to go on several shore excursions to all the awesome destinations the cruise ship visits

and they are great for kids.

Also who cares that you have to pay extra for the go karting, the laser tag and the Vibe beach club?

The Encore has cost NCL 900 million, they have to find others to make money from its passengers.

  5. MrMike I ain’t going on a cruise just for the go kart track.😂

I’m going on 1 because I have been told they are amazing for entertainment, restaurants, food, shore excursions to awesome different destinations and to see what all the fuss is about.

Was also told to do the Beach Vibe club if It’s possible.

Go kart track is an added bonus, don’t really care for laser tag but can see how that’s popular with families.

  6. Reading these comments and again so many complaining about the go kart track.

They are NOT forcing it on every ship they can think of!

NCL will have 17 ships by the time Encore is finished, go kart tracks are in just 3 of them, Joy, Bliss and now Encore.

3 Out of 17 is clearly not every ship.

The go kart track on Joy was popular and why they added one to Bliss, the track on Bliss was extremely popular and why they added one to Encore.

Encore is the 4th and final ship in NCL breakaway fleet, is there 100 percent proof that the go kart tracks will be added to their new ships through to 2029 on their Leonardo class?

Every company changes whether you have been a loyal customer or not, for better or worse hotels do it, airlines do it, cruise ships do it, restaurants do it etc.

  7. Jaysmom2 EXACTLY!

Cruising is all about entertainment, great restaurants and food and doing shore excursions to new amazing places.

Like you said if I want to sunbathe all the time I’ll do it on my patio or go on a beach holiday, and if I want to do any of my cruise I’ll wait till one my shore excursions when I visit spectacular quiet beaches and islands.

  8. Lol at all the people complaining about how there won’t be enough space for everyone to sunbathe.

I’m sorry but if your sole purpose to cruise is to sunbathe and complain about lack of Space to do so on this ship then I suggest cancelling your cruise and go book a 2 week beach vacation where you can sunbathe 10 hours a day with no distractions!

All cruise ship pools and sun loungers are always crazy busy, just like hotels, it’s a first come first serve basis when reserving your lounger.

There are over 4000 people on Encore, did you seriously expect sea days to be quiet around the pool area?

  9. Anyone else seen the new Celebrity Edge ship with its awesome Magic Carpet? Now that is what you call innovation!

Quite shocked that RCL and NCL 2 of the biggest lines in the industry have failed to come up with something as innovating as the Edge a smaller lesser known cruise line.

Sat having a meal or a drink in this movable Magic Carpet will be insane. The interior of the Edge is also unreal and only has a max capacity of 3000 passengers.

Celebrity Cruises have sat the bar so high with their new ship, its now up to RCL and NCL to up their game as a bigger go kart track is nothing compared to the Magic Carpet.

  10. TheDougOut.............of course the Encore is going to be delayed. All cruises up until Dec 19th have been cancelled.

First sail was supposed to be Nov, thats now 2nd December.

The fact that Meyer said they are under staffed and need more workers to do over time again prove this ship is going to be further delayed.

Of course cancelled cruise's are disasters.....that means refunds, so many annoyed customers and in time will turn them to rival ship companies.

What about all those cruisers who already booked time off work to go on the first cruises in late November early December to now have their cruises cancelled and can no longer change their dates off work to later in 2020?

So from your last comment you only go on cruises to drink?LOL

  11. Sorry but this is just going to be a disaster!

The fact that the first cruise scheduled for Nov 2019 has been cancelled and the first cruise will now be December means that every cruise date from Dec to April 2020 will have to be put back further than originally planned.

I have booked to go on a 7 night Cruise from Miami on the Encore from the 5th April 2020, but if further delays continue that cruise date is just not going to happen.

If Meyer were that busy with the new Royal Caribbean ship and others why take on the Encore when it was clearly to much for them to handle to get it finished on time?

Yes delays can happen, but considering the launch of the Encore is still 12 months away and they are already under staffed and calling for extra over time just proves they never should have took on this ship to begin with.

1-2 week delay is fine, but what if it gets to 1-3 month delay? Why would I cruise Miami in Aug when its Hurricane season?

Think I might be better doing a Bliss tour from New York than go on a rushed half baked ship.
