I agree with many of your points with the exception of the part I bolded.  Unfortunately, the actual smoke does stray and is not always contained in the smoking area.  And the smell of cigarettes/smoking goes with the smoker and is not pleasant for others in an elevator, for example.

.............As well as Body and foot  Order , Perfumes and aftershaves , Halitosis, clothes on the last 2 days of a long cruise . Soiled diapers or funky smell of old wet swimming suites . But I would never make it miserable for those people,  like non smokers do for smokers . "and Remember I do not smoke "

Question for the smokers only (PLEASE).  It’s been 3 years since being on a HAL ship.  Do they still let you buy cartons (benson and hedges menthol) and take them back to your cabin, during the cruise ?  Just got off Princess and was pleasantly surprised that they are now allowing it.  Hoping HAL still does.  Leaving for a b2b in two weeks, just trying to plan.  Also, am I correct that the only smoking area on the Eurodam is at the aft sea view bar?  Thanks, Happy Sailing Everybody

We always buy cigarettes on board "Royal Caribbean, Holland ,Carnival ", as well as in Port on the island. We take them back to our cabin . The responsibility of Duty is yours.  If you smoke them while in port or in the smoking areas on ship you do not have to pay duty. I do not smoke but my wife does , and cigarettes are a lot cheaper when your not paying the high taxes . Duty once you return is minimal. People buy booze for the same reason aboard ship

  3.  Amazing how people think their rights to keep people from smoking Trumps smokers rights. Smokers pay just as much for the cruise as y'all do . If a smoker is in a designated smoking area he or she should be able to smoke . I agree not in cabins or public areas of the ships. If you get a whiff of smoke too bad stay out of the smoking areas. Smokers do not come into your area.  I have more issues with people that use a  scooters , parking them in the lido buffet  isles while they walk to get their food ,or  set in a chair and eat. making other guests walk around their scooter.  Or unruly children, on some cruises playing tag in the elevators and in the hall ways. Or allowing their small children to snorkel in the hot tub due to the fact that the pool is too deep . And Keep your hands out of the food at the Lido Buffet, HAL provides utensils  to grab the food,

I do not care how many cruises you have been on. You may be able to board, and depart before  me . but if I'am in line at the buffet , Or to enter the theater . You have no right what so ever to crowd in front of me and my wife . There are people aboard ship that had to scrimp and save even to be able to take a cruise  don't be a jerk about ,they and I do not care how  many cruises you have been on !!!!  P.S I do not smoke

  4. Greetings :We are due to sail on January 4 2019 ,wow 2019 . Any how , I'am wondering, how long a person can go on-board ship with out taking a shower? On our first cruise with R.C.C.L. I showered twice a day , I kept this shower schedule for 5 other cruises. Then on our last cruse , on Carnival.  I went the entire 8 day cruise, with out taking a shower.  It was wonderful ! People did not set by you ,they asked to be seated at a different table in the dining room . They gave you lots of room in the hall ways , and elevators. After the second day I for the most part rode elevators alone. They would not brag to you on how many cruises they had been on,  It was wonderful. The wait staff took your order and left real fast .  Finally when we were heading to our home port, I took a shower. On debarking the ship, people did not know I showered. I was the first one off the ship. Even though there were almost 200 people ahead of me in line. ............................................Just a bit of humor while y'all are waiting to sail     Have a wonderful trip .
