I have received at lest 10 or more casino sail offerings in the past week. We are fully booked for this year 2 more for a total of 7 and next and some of 2021 so the offerings are not for us. Go to your deleted email and enter carnival. They should still be there for you.

No can do...I delete my deleted emails...lesson learned...😒

    FREE DRINKS ON US!
for you and one travel companion while playing in the casino!**

Hmmmm...may have said that originally but I'm in the habit of cleaning out my emails...guess I'd best stop doing that 😩

Yes your cabin mate will get DOU. Casino cash is used in the casino. OBC can be used anywhere including the casino.

I sent an email to global casino services and got their reply a little while ago... and they said only i would get the DOU card

I just booked Horizon under the Super-Sweet Summer Giveaway-Exclusive Casino Offer

It comes with $500 non refundable OBC  can I use this in the casino or not.

Also its came with DOU while playing in the casino. Does my wife get DOU while she is playing?

Did you find out the answer to this? I booked the Sunrise coming up in a few weeks and don't remember if my husband will get DOU....

Same situation here with the cancelled cruise and the higher prices on the new itinerary. I have been emailing the senior vice president, who sent us the letter, daily. Her secretary has responded via phone but I am not giving up and would encourage others to do the same. The 10% discount does bring the price close to what it was. Also, the are not honoring my Taxday promotion.

The fact that they wouldn't honor the tax day promotion was what really ticked me off...poor customer service!...we ended up getting a really good casino offer from Carnival so we took that. I'll think long and hard before giving NCL another chance

  6. This is the latest contact at Dreams econcierge.drelr@dreamsresorts.com

This was my email from them....

We offer day passes at the cost of $65 per adult (12 and above) under the age of 2 are free, and any age in between 2 and 12 receive 50% discount, this is payable upon arrival via cash or credit card.

The pass is valid between the hours of 10.30am-5pm and it entitles you to food and drinks, (soft drinks and alcohol) as well as the use of the pools and beach area, this pass does not entitle you to the use of our Preferred Club area or a room.

Transportation is not included, but a taxi service is available from the port area.

Upon arrival, an ID is mandatory for check-in.

If this is of any interest please let me know and I can check availability for you.

    Kind regards,

  7. I will be on the Breeze in 10 days and wondering if it's safe in La Romana, Dominican Republic? Has anyone been there recently? I wanted to book a Day Pass at Dreams Resort, but it isn't offered through the cruise line and we would have to take a taxi on our own. I am concerned about that after reading some threads on how unsafe DR is and also the US Embassy warnings. The resort doesn't offer transportation arrangements, so we are wondering if we should just stay on the ship at this port?

We've been to the dreams resort 2 or 3 times and had no problems taking a taxi there. It's a gorgeous resort!

  8. Hmmm.....on my last cruise (March 22nd) I was still gold. I asked abt the cigarettes (I bring them home for my husband). Casino hostess said they no longer do that but since I knew about it she'd allow it. They never tell you any of the perks but I asked them outright what the spa thing was and she said I could book a treatment up to $160 and they'd pay for it. Seems as tho' they'd inform you of the perks instead of you having to hunt them down...

  9. I live a few minutes from the Port of Tampa and Feb always seems to be the worst month (although we have cruised out of Tampa with no problems in Feb). It is really hit or miss but it is VERY unlikely to have any issues the end of March. You should be fine :)

Great to hear....I was having a minor freak-out abt it :-)

  10. OK, it occurs to me I might have made an oopsie....our cruise comes back to Tampa on March 29th. My flight is at 11:15 a.m., which has never been a problem....but......suddenly it occurred to me that fog could be a real problem. What can you folks tell me abt the probability of fog end of March????

  11. We're currently onboard, returning to PC tomorrow. There isn't sufficient deck space. Chairs are crammed together and most are taken by 10 am. We go out early and want shade so we're relegated to deck 10, one side or the other, while smokers have a nice shaded area to sit all day long and smoke with padded wicker chairs. The rest of deck 9 and 10 are packed.

Well, if they hadn't moved the smokers off their balconies there wouldn't be so many in the nice shaded areas:p

  12. Thank you for the info popsec. It looks to be very similar to a Premier Cruise with a few more extras thrown in. The BIG question is did you have fun and also win lots of money?!!

The private pick-up to/from the port was a welcome extra, also the free drinks anywhere on the ship was a biggie. Plus the free cruise drawing for a "grand suite" with all the "elite" perks again was a definite biggie (sure would have liked to win that!). Also dinner in the steakhouse.

As far as winning in the casino....nope......but it was a great cruise!

  13. So, this was basically the daily breakdown....

Day 1...car pickup to port, get-together in casino from 1-3 p.m. Here we were given the elite lanyards with drink cards. Went to cabin and saw we'd gotten 2 large bottles of water and 6 Coors light from the casino

    Day 2.....11 a.m. snowball drawing for $200, 11 p.m. card draw ($100-$500 given away), midnite.......extra $200 given away

Day 3....11 a.m. snowball drawing for $500 and then 10-12p.m. hot seat promotion

Day 4.....We were invited to dinner in the steakhouse with Lilian and Desi and 3 other couples, 8 p.m. snowball drawing for $600, 11 p.m. Deal or no Deal

Day 5....8 p.m. snowball drawing for $700 (I won this drawing), 11 p.m. ping pong ball throw for cash

Day 6....$800 snowball drawing, 11 p.m bags of cash

Day 7...free elite slot tournament, $900 snowball drawing

    Day 8....$1000 snowball drawing

11 p.m. drawing for a free cruise....Grand Suite accommodations, all the "elite" perks

Be sure you're in the casino for the drawings as you have to be present to win!

We received the really nice robes in our cabins on day 7, also got a plate of huge cookies, choc covered strawberries and more bottled water

The biggest surprise was that on day 2 we got a call from the pursers desk with the offer of an upgrade to a Grand suite!!!! In 40 Carnival cruises it was our first ever upgrade! It appears there were some empty cabins and those are offered first to "diamond" level guests.....what a lovely surprise!

This was the get-together in the casinoi (I think it was from 1-3). There were all kinds of snack type foods including fried shrimp and tiny sandwiches. This was where they gave us the "elite" lanyards and drink cards and we got to mingle with Lilian & Martin.

Every day there were 2 drawings....the snoball drawing and one other one. I won $100 at one of the drawings and $700 in one of the snoball drawings.

Our elite gift was 2 heavy navy blue robes embroidered with the Carnival casino logo.

We also got several bottles of water and there were 6 Coors Light bottles in the cabin for my husband.

We took the helicoptor tour of Antigua for our casino comped excursion and that was great!

    More to follow...

  15. OK..a little teaser....Lincoln Navigator picked us up and brought us back to the hotel after the cruise. I can tell you about our "elite" experience but it doesn't mean yours will be the same....

The really great thing was that not only did we get the drink cards for the casino, but we were told any drinks purchased outside the casino would be subtracted from our bill at the end of the cruise!!! Be sure to check your bill the final morning because our drinks weren't subtracted and we had to go to pursers desk this morning and they fixed it.

More later and the day by day schedule of events...

  16. Getting excited?? When we sail in Oct we are parking at the port since it's only a 2 hr drive from home to Port Canaveral. I did prepay my parking today and printed off the receipt. I then take that to casino cage first night and they will reimburse me. Have loads of fun, win big and can 't wait to hear all the details. My DH and I are sailing this Sat with friends on the Glory. We'll have a good time but all I can think about is the Elite cruise with my daughter..we have not seen each other for 2 years and we will have an absolute blast!!

Yup!.just printed boarding passes for the flights....can't wait! Hope you enjoy your cruise Sat. and I'll be back with all the details...

  17. Yes i have called them. Never had a problem with them till now, but then again i feel its because i won a jackpot on the sailing in august.

I was not asking about credits i was asking about comps. Thanks for the replies. I will just do some checking into other lines. To all that think you get a drink card at 5k points, it is NOT TRUE.

I was told by Michael Bayonna that I wouldn't be getting the drink card on my Aug Breeze cruise because it was a casino offer cruise. He was wrong!....the drink card was waiting for me when I got to the casino the first night.....

  18. Have a great time on your Elite cruise and post when you return, I'd love to hear about it. Noone is posting when they return from the Elite cruises. I guess it's because there are only a few people on each one and they probably aren't on cruisecritic.

We leave Sat on the Freedom....elite cruise. I'll post after I get back :D
