  1. Yes I believe the Harmony and Symphony were built with them.   It has since been added to the Oasis and was supposed to be added to the Allure.   We loved the Allure and think our boys will really like the Boardwalk view.   I appreciate all of the information.

  2. I had watched the video of 10327 and it had definitely seemed to me that the view was blocked by the slide.  Is it better when you go back to 10325?

We've (an extended family group) been on HOTS in 9729,9727,9725 & 9723.

It was fun for the toddler grand kids....and I booked them at an amazing price.

    Will I book these again...no way !!!!

What is your reasoning for not booking again?   The view, noise, etc?

  3. Sunshine3601... thanks for responding...  right now I have room 10327 as my choice, so that would be next door to the room you were in closer to the back.  Would that sit too far out over the slide do you think?   I am considering 9729 too, its the last one on the end on the other side.  We have sailed on the Allure and my boys love the Boardwalk so we thought it would be fun to have the overall boardwalk experience this time.  So its not all about the aqua theatre view, but would still like to know ahead of time what the view will be like.

  4. I am considering booking a boardwalk balcony on the Oasis of the Seas for next summer.  I know that the Oasis now has the big slide on the back.  I am wondering if anyone has advice or pictures of the views from some of the cabins towards the back...  examples- 10327, 9729, 8327, etc.... specifically if it blocks your view on certain floors of the aqua theatre, etc.   I assume the balcony views would be the same on other ships with the same layout if anyone has pictures from those.   Thanks for your help!

New to MSC guys. Were booked for June on Seaside. I assume I cant apply this coupon for that cruise, and where does one receive this code?

Thanks sorry if I sound clueless, just new to how MSC works (NCLs who ‘jumped ship’ due to crazy price increases)

There was a promotion run where you watched a video and got a code for 10% off on a new booking.  The promotion ended the day before i started researching MSC....   i was just hoping someone had a code they were unable to use and could potentially share....   we are really considering MSC for a Mediterranean cruise.

Anyone know the last time the Allure was in dry dock? I know she is scheduled for a huge renovation in 2020.

I am looking at a cruise on Allure in summer 2020...   is the drydock supposed to be in the spring?

I could be mistaken, but I think they do adult comedy in the theater, a second later show. 10PM or so.

I am not sure if they did that or not... it really wasn't a big deal... and we wouldn't have wanted to be out that late on our last night before disembarking early am.  Had to get those suitcases out by 11pm afterall... lol.    It was just the only thing I hadn't pre-booked in the planner before we boarded because I wasn't sure how our evenings would go with our kids.   Then while we were onboard all of the shows were full in the comedy club.    We really enjoyed sitting outside the English Pub on the Promenade listening to the singer, snacking on pizza from right across at Sorrento's.

Sorry you didn't make it to comedy.  Every Oasis class I've been on has comedy on the last night in the main theater as well.  So anyone who missed it in the small club can still go.

We did do the family friendly show in the theatre on the last night and it was very entertaining.  We just never got in to the comedy club for the adult comedy times.

You would have to turn on your WiFi to use the free texting, which has been reported functional on Allure.

We didnt buy the wifi package but on Allure you can log on to the wifi just to use the app.  It has your schedule and info and also a text feature.  My phone gave me issues with connecting to the wifi.  There was an app assistance desk but it was always pretty crowded.

It is so encouraging to see you had a great time. Makes me more impatient for my journey. I had some questions:

    1. I have a BOGO Specialty dining package for 2 nights. I know a courtesy reservation will be made for the first night. When and where would I be able to see this, and maybe change the reservation to a restaurant of my choice?
    2. There are still 170 days for my sailing. Will i be able to see a more enabled Cruise Planner once I am within the 90 day range?

    3. My wife and I are both vegetarians. Will the Specialty dining restaurants be able to accommadate our restrictions?
I emailed RCL and my invoice shows vegetarian under Special Services.

    4. Will there be any kind of recognition of celebration of a special occasion? (we're going for our 2nd wedding anniversary)

That's all for now. May reach out again if something else pops up.

We had our kids with us so the Solarium wasn't really an option for us... and we did use the digital screens to help navigate the boat.   They were pretty cool.... stop along the way as you see the periscopes sticking up out of the floor, each has a little treasure in it.

It does say that 90 days out everything will show up, but I found that it showed up earlier... so definitely check earlier.  I also watched for sales on excursions, etc.   If you booked something and you find the price is a better deal you can cancel and rebook at the lower price.

We only did one specialty dining and that was the Brazilian Steak House.... obviously not your thing as a vegetarian, so I am not sure about the menus there, but as someone else mentioned the menus are posted on the app, etc.  Definitely download the app and start looking for things on there.  Unfortunately that was one issue we had.  My husband and I had both downloaded the app and on Allure you can use it to text each other while on the boat, but I could never get my phone to properly connect.  It was an issue with my phone though, not the app....   But then I couldn't see the things I had booked like shows and dinners, so I went to customer service and got a print out I could carry with me.

I am not sure if they do any sort of special recognition of events...  we were travelling for my 40th birthday and our 15 year anniversary and I had mentioned that in response to a question I had while messaging with a representative through Facebook... that is how I found the answers to most of my questions... I would Facebook message them and had an answer within minutes...   anyway when we got in our room there were cupcakes and a bottle of champagne from the social media team welcoming us on board with a card.... it was such a nice way to kick of the trip.

  11. Do you mean waivers for specific activities like the Flow Rider, etc?  We were on the Allure two weeks ago and the only activity you had to sign a waiver for was the Flowrider.  You could not do it online (I had messaged them and asked before we boarded).  You had to sign it up at the activity desk near the Flowrider.

  12. We were just on the Allure 2 weeks ago and it was amazing!   So many great things to do and see... definitely book seats at the shows when your booking window opens online.   We went to Mamma Mia the first night after sailing out of Miami and it was a great way to start the cruise... then the Oceanaria Aquatheatre show on night 2.   My husband and I never made it to comedy club because they were all booked up, but we did see all of the other shows.  We also loved walking through Central Park at night and stopping to listen to music, etc.  And hopped a ride or two on the Rising Tide bar just for the novelty of it.   My kids loved all of the activities including rock climbing, mini golf, wave rider and we all tried the zipline!   I had read on here about Central Park Cafe for lunch.  We went right there when we boarded the boat and pretty much every day after that for lunch.   We found the Wipeout Cafe up on the 15th deck back towards the basketball court was a great option for breakfast.  It had a nice buffet with everything you needed and then tables outside.  We really liked it on the days we were coming in to ports.  It was the perfect place to sit and watch the islands get closer and then docking.   i would be happy to answer any specific questions you can think of.

I just went back through my Cruise Compasses and don't see the Activity Manager listed.  There were two super bubbly ladies that led the shows, games and activities but I just can't remember their names....

Sorry to hijack the thread, but howdy, neighbor!  Ebensburg, PA, here.  Doesn't this weather make you wish you were on a cruise right now?!

Fellow neighbor from Hollidayburg, PA here...   We are heading to the airport Friday to head off for our first cruise on RCL....   we can pick you up on the way through!

And just to make sure with the unlimited drink package I can pick up waters along the way to keep in my cabin and take off the boat, right?
