  1. I debated whether I should iron before packing, but decided they would just get wrinkled again so why bother.

I would rather not stand in the laundry room ironing everything.

I was wondering if anyone know how much it costs to pay for it to be done on the ship?

    Thanks!

I broke out the suitcases last night. I’m going with the small one again. I was able to move some things I’m not going to use this trip like water shoes from the small one to the big one.

I think I’m about packed except for my shirts which I try to pack at the last minute in a futile attempt to get them less wrinkled. Every time I do that I’m reminded of the time I forgot to pack them. One thing you don’t want a porter to do is lift your bag up and down repeatedly and say “that’s it?”

I do also have this on the way. I’m going to need to find room for it. I prefer a spray over the wipes but I couldn’t find it in an aerosol can and I didn’t want to risk the plastic bottle leaking in my suitcase. I hope 95 wipes are enough. I prefer being able to spray as much as I want.

You might want to pack the water shoes.  The beaches especially in Cabo are a little rocky.

There’s a rumor circulating that, at least on Panorama, they don’t have plastic bottles of water at the bar anymore. What is being said is they have canned water at the bar and you have to order plastic bottles through the fun shop.

I will of course verify this on Saturday. The picture I’ve seen seems that the alleged canned water is some Italian spring water which seems to me like it may be more expensive.

If true I’m guessing it’s a recycling thing. I don’t think I’ve had water out of a can but I’m willing

to try it. I don’t think the container my water

is in would bother me. I only drink it to rehydrate and I just want it to be something other than ship water. I do prefer spring over purified.

It is a recycling thing.  California is banning single use plastic bottles under a certain size.  Unfortunately the water offered from the fun shop is purified not spring. 😞

  4. Hi Trvlgirlmq,

I emailed them and received the same response. I am 90% sure that is what I will decide to do. I'm waiting to see if my mom wants to do it too, so I can book for both of us. Did you look into how we get there from the cruise ship?

I like that there is a ladder to get into and out of the water.

  5. I need some advice please. Our ship will be in port on a Sunday. I've heard lots of places are closed, so would it be worth going to Aix or Avignon?

We will be there in June. Will the lavender fields be in bloom? If so, where would I need to go to see them?

Other option I'm considering is a boat to see the Calanques. I've heard some let you swim off the boat. Does anyone know which company that is?

Which option would you recommend in Marseille of the 3 or is there something else you'd recommend.

    Thanks for your input!

  6. Great post. Now when you say "rustic restrooms" on Stone Island what does that mean? :eek:Should I bring my own T-paper? Now are the restrooms are Deer Island? Thanks for the help.:)

We had a drink at Lety's and they had bathrooms. They aren't fancy, and the sink to wash your hands is outside with a beach towel to dry your hands. It was better than some public restrooms I've seen!

  7. A couple weeks ago I came across Tim Tams at the grocery store (Safeway). I just had to get it because it was milk chocolate and caramel! The store clerk saw it, and said "Oh those are sooo good!" I didn't share even 1 cookie with my kids - I ate every single one. :D
