welp this thread was informative.  i had a club royale JS offer for navigator sailing over labor day weekend and was bummed at the time when i booked because there were no junior suites available so they booked me at a balcony, and put me on a waiting list for the JS.

today they called and gave me room 1108, it's just me and one of my good friends going and a 3 nighter, so the tub and walk in closet isn't really a big deal to us.  i'll take pics/vids for people curious when I sail in august.  but the big balcony does sound appealing, i'd rather be in this than an ocean view balcony room

Here's the weird thing.  I called them to ask what I could apply to an August 2020 Med cruise I'd booked.  I didn't think ANY of the offers could be applied.  A manager applied a 2019 (?!) $1000 off Baseball Event promo for a specific cruise that clearly didn't qualify for the one I'd booked.  It was coded as YHP5 like previous casino discounts I've had.  Not complaining -- that was great -- but there really isn't any sort of consistency to how they handle requests.

 

My takeaway: they've got wide latitude to apply discounts, and your success is largely going to depend on who you talk to.

what level are you? and i see what they did..they basically took that baseball event and applied a $1000 discount to your cruise that you paid for and wasn't comped i assume?  i have that baseball offer too but i'll never use it, wonder if they would apply it to a future cruise too of mine, but i only have taxes and gratuities for mine
