  1. HI booked my flights separately from my cruise. Our cruise got Cancelled for April 5th. I see  that airlines are offering credit for bookings and the flights need to be used 1 year from when you booked. I booked our flights in November for our upcoming cruise. I don't want to have to use the refund by then. Any one had any luck with getting their money back? We used Delta and Southwest.

Just tried cancelling for tomorrow's cruise, no FCC or anything. Reason being that there hasn't been a problem in that area (Southern Caribbean). It's all about potential and how this thing has exponentially gotten worse. Can't get refund on plane tickets. Now I have a decision to either lose my 5k and save the potential virus contraction that I could pass on to my toddler and elderly in-laws, or go ahead and have a worry-filled "vacation". I know it's not Celebrity's fault in this but gee, the customer taking the whole burden is brutal.

I spoke to celebrity today and they are offering 100 percent FCC for cruises booked from April- July.  We are booked on the Edge in April . She said we needed to rebook  within the year or we would loose it. I think that's appropriate. I would call back and speak to someone else.

  3. HI

We booked last minute on Escape  and now are not able to make dining reservations. I am assuming I can book on board but what would be the best way to do this? Using the kiosks or is there a desk that does restaurant reservations? We are a party of 7

    Thanks in Advance!

  4. Just off the Summit and stayed in a accessible veranda on deck 6. The room was beautiful. Plenty of storage for the three of us. The room was bright and airy and the bed was very comfortable. I think Celebrity did a great job with the refurb and I would take the new rooms over the old ones any day. We were on the summit two years ago and the rooms were dark and desperately needed a redo. The rest of the ship was also done beautifully. The lounge outside the main dining room is now much lighter and we actually went to it this time. On our past cruise we would walk right through it because it felt so dark and old fashioned. Dining room was done tastefully and the larger chairs make an impression . Our table did not have any of the new chairs but we were in the middle of the dining room and had a beautiful view of the back of the ship and especially on our last night when the full moon shined over the dining room. Could not of asked for a better vacation. Staff were amazing and we can't wait to cruise the summit again.

  5. Has anyone used llewellyn for the buck island tour? There have not been any recent reviews but the ones that were posted were great. He does have a website but limited information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  6. We are sailing in less then a month and I changed our room from an OV to a GTY veranda. I didn't want to wait for the move up bid to come back so called and got a great deal on the veranda.I was wondering how soon or how late people found out what stateroom they were assigned and if they were pleased?

    Thanks

  7. I have been calling Celebrity about this and I keep getting different answers. We booked a room that had a pull out couch but now I being told no couch just bunks which might be an issue with my 6 year old who is afraid of heights. I am waiting a call back from Celebrity. They said they were going to contact the ship in dry dock and give me an answer about our room that was two days ago. I will keep you posted if I hear anything about your room as well.

We disembarked today in Hong Kong where we are staying for a few days. We have had a wonderful trip all in all.  Yes there were issues with the ship, and some people had more issues than others. We were quite lucky really. Our air con didn’t work properly, but that was about it. The air con on the ship all over wasn’t working properly. Uproar on day 5 when they ran out of tonic, slimline tonic and bitter lemon!  Horrors.

They haven’t done any work on deck 10 and 11 around the pool and it looked a bit shabby, with paint spills etc, and some of the finishing in the cabins and public areas was poor.  There were a lot on maintenance men working but in all honesty I was expecting it to be worse.

I am going to try and post a couple of pictures, which I have never done before. We were on deck 3 midship, an ideal location (for us)

Did you couch pull out? If so what room number were you?

  9. Hi, they were really strict with the height requirements, which caused some tears when we boarded the ship. They would not measure him with his water shoes on and he was just shy of the heigh requirement. I understand its a safety issue but his hair was touching the stick and they wouldn't let him on. We actually tried several times during the cruise with different people measuring. No luck . Hopefully it works out for you guys. Give your kids a heads up about the requirements before hand to prepare. They do have a smaller water slide near the pool that he enjoyed but in his mind it was for the little kids.
