  1. Soooooo. Just received an email from Royal in regards to my July 1 sailing. Originally had requested room 1108 as its one of the new rooms with the balcony. They automatically moved me to a regular junior suite on deck 9 without notifying me. Saw it in the updated invoice they sent. I called in and It seems that the junior suite rooms on deck 11 can only hold 2 people and not 4. They have recategorized these rooms for 2 person occupancy. Was really looking forward to that very large balcony and the direct pool access for the kids. They at least gave me an OBC.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned as I did not read every single post in this thread.

For all who are discussing the new Deck 11 JS staterooms, CL Rick stayed in one on Adventure shortly after it came out of drydock and posted some videos of the room.  Maybe someone w/more time and some tech savvy can find them and link them here.  The rooms looked really nice.

The deckplan and the location of the new JS on the navigator are not the same as the adventure that he was on

Those JS and their balconies look very big. They definitely will be sort after when people know about them. I'm sure they will be priced higher too (on Adventure they were). I wonder if the balcony on these are all glass or steel? What a great view if the whole thing was glass.

Im booked for the 1108 JS in July and it was the same price. The sq ft of the cabin seems to be just a bit smaller than the rest of the JS on the ship but the balcony is just massive

I believe the stateroom Rick was in on Adventure was a Junior Suite.

Yes he was in a JS on the aots but that same room location is a regular balcony on the nots. If you look at the deck plan, the JS are further up on the nots and the balcony is close to 400 sq ft. That’s why it will be interesting to see how that balcony looks. Also seems the actual JS on the nots are just a tad bit smaller in size compared to the rest on the ship8AA58413-DB8E-4E6C-BED9-C598CE1453DD.thumb.png.bceab184624fccc7dd9b7c0905b82cbe.png

Rick has some photos of one of those staterooms in his excellent review here:

Thanks for the link. Seems like the room he was in is a regular balcony now on the navigator but should be similar in decor. The balcony pic is what I am waiting for on the navigator once the refurb keeps rolling along. I do wonder how the view will be with the rooms on the curvature of the front of the ship

  7. Please post some pics when you go on it. I booked on the 7/1 sailing in 1108 which i would think is just a bit larger than your stateroom but you have almost 100 sq ft more on the balcony if we go by the online diagram. Seems they might be the newer style decor on the interior. Both seem to be just a bit smaller than the general size of the the other JS around the ship though

  8. Just booked on the 7/1 sailing in one of the new JS on Deck 11. Amazed at the size of the balconies listed in the deck description. Each over 400 sq ft+. seems the room will be the new updated decor found on the anthem/oasis class. Sailed on her 10 years ago on our honeymoon on the transatlantic crossing over to europe so now taking the kids on her for the first time.
