the absolute worst I have had to date, is the cheese cake on the CCL Paradise....let me say that the instant kind you can get in the supermarkets is 90% better than theirs !

One of my favorite things to do is read a good book on vacation, especially by the pool on a cruise. The worst thing in the world is bringing a couple of books to read, and they are all no good, boring, horrible to read.
Soooooo. Does anybody have any recommendations? (I have already read War and Peace!)
Peace and love to all.
without knowing if your a man or woman and what type you enjoy reading the most, makes it hard.........but Dan Brown is good, Nora Roberts and Luanne Rice also

I wouldn't miss "Tea Time" on Carnival cruises. It isn't High Tea, but is a very nice way to spend some time away from the hoopla of other events on the ship. It is offered only on sea days, around 3pm, in one of the smaller lounges. I've enjoyed different tastes on each cruise, such as tea sandwiches, petit fours, scones w/lemon curd, tiny cookies, and always a nice selection of teas. All white gloved service from silver tea service. Very relaxing with the light live music in the background.
;) great info....didn't realize they even had this........

Ok so I saw this on RCL and I think on HAL and now looking at the Freesytles for the Dawn someone so graciously posted I see it again.
What is Friends of Bill W. Meet at 5 pm?

thats a tough one since your on the ship everyday for about every meal etc........but the again itinerary is important also....guess it depends which is more important to you....as for me, if I am not happy with my ship it casts a shadow on the whole cruise

my last cruise I gainded 1.09 lbs each day :o

I brought some back in a ziplock baggies (doubled) along with some shells and nothing was said ;)

I try to buy a model of each ship I sail on. They are normally in the gift shops and only cost $25.00 to $35.00 each. I am getting a nice collection of Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity ships.:D
DH does allot of models....only he wants the larger scale ones that are on display..think their about $2500.00
-
My DH collects them........you could always ask someone on one of the roll calls to pick them up for you......I am sure they would do it since their not expensive and just pay for it and the shipping when they get back.........;)

since I have only been on 2 cruises I would have to say that it was the "Toga" episode on the Dawn ..... they were wrapped in their bedsheets singing Toga-Toga-Toga !!!! and needless to say they had a few under their belts....and not sure how much they had on under those sheets either.... ....but it was fun to watch them and they did get quite a few looks

:D It would have to be the fresh waffles that are made right in front of you on the Dawn and served with fresh whipped cream & fresh strawberries or blueberries and of course all of that lovely fresh fruit already cut up for you.....gosh I can't wait to go again ;)

you can get whole Maine lobster on the Dawn in some of the specialty restaurants, we don't eat anything but Maine lobster, very picky that way, but it wasn't as good !
