Yes!  We were on the 11/20 sailing!  😁  That's what I was thinking, but I had a different experience with the Grandeur sailing, which was also over Thanksgiving.  Maybe we just lucked out with that one!

Just curious about what you liked better about Anthem?  Trying to get a grasp on the different vibes of the different ships / classes.

We just got off Anthem for a 7 day Bahamas itinerary.  It was our first time on a bigger boat as we previously cruised Carnival Victory, Monarch, and most recently Grandeur (same itinerary in 2019).  The Anthem seemed sooo much more crowded.  I know there are more people on a bigger boat, but there is also more space.  The Windjammer on Anthem was twice the size of the one on Grandeur, but seemed to have 3 times the people.  Same with the Solarium.   I was wondering what any other experienced cruisers thought?  It it the layout of the ship (the esplanade instead or a centrum) or are all of the bigger ships more crowded? 

I had a great experience with a "guarentee" on the Grandure in 2019 and another ship in 2021 (which we had to postpone due to illness).  I booked a guarentee on Anthem hoping to have the same good luck but it is taking a really long time to assign the cabin and so far it looks like I'm on deck 6, which has VERY obstructed views.  DH and I already agreed that we'll be choosing our own cabin next time.

Would this be under the "entertainment" tab?  Mine's still says "check back later" and we leave on the 20th..  ???

Can anyone offer any tips for the Perfect Day stop?  We will be there over Thanksgiving 2019 with 2 adults and 15 and 11 year old girls.  We like to keep busy, but aren't so adventurous that we skydive or climb the 7 summits. lol. 

We see there are lots of excursions, but there also seem to be lots of open beach to explore.  We won't be hitting the water park because we have season passes to our local water park...  but other than that, any tips or suggestion for the best experience would be appreciated.

Thank you everyone...  there seem to be lots of options aside from purchasing one of the packages.
