    Yes, our cruise is in August, it was a nice bit of extra OBC to use!  We wouldn't have made that much interest in a year at the bank.

    My wife and I are experienced cruisers and have not cruised Azamara yet.  However, some of the itineraries look interesting (especially interested in Kiel Canal and Guernsey).  I understand that the ships are older and can deal with that.

     

    Recent cruisers-- have the communications improved?  Can you reach a Customer Service Rep easily?  Is resolution of issues easy and efficient?

    I have had three calls with them in the last couple of weeks and everytime the call was answered immediately, and my questions, reservations and payments were handled promptly.  I was very impressed.

I was wondering if anyone can explain what is meant in this disclaimer below, it is on all excursions in Amalfi & Sorrento during our cruise in August.  It sounds to me like there is a possibility that you may not be able to go ashore without having an excursion booked?  We were planning on exploring on our own, without booking an excursion.

  4. While logged into our account, our upcoming cruise states "Excursions coming soon".  The cruise is 6 months away, at what point would I usually have access to book them?  Thanks in advance!!

    So true, it's been a couple weeks since we got off the ship and my husband is still struggling with some kind of sinus infection.  Many people were coughing when we got on the ship in Rome, and by the time we got to Tampa, there were many many more.

  6. We have recently booked a Celebrity Cruise that will be stopping at ports in Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Ponta Delgada.  Does anyone have any insights as to if these ports have shuttles into town (Or if we even need a shuttle)?  Thanks in advance!

  7. Huge loss for Azamara, she will be missed by so many!  Still can see her dancing and singing while she was serving food at the Bbq's!  An amazing hotel director, I wish her the best.

When sending out these surveys..Does Azamara just assume everyone in North America lives in the United States?  I live in Canada and the very first question on the survey is  "What state do you live in?"    It does not give Canadian province names as an option nor does it allow me to continue without answering this question.  I have tried to answer other surveys, but most of the questions are irrelevant to me and my travel, yet cannot be skipped, so I just end up terminating the survey.   Big waste of my time.  I think it's time to unsubscribe, for now.

Well, we are now just over a month until we start our B2B cruises, with absolutely no information on the "Azamazing Evenings"  that will apparently be happening onboard.  No dates (locations) for when they might happen, what the plans are...nothing.  We kept getting promises of more information to come...again nothing.  I cannot say I'm very impressed.

  10. I have a real problem with this!  One of the reasons I enjoy taking Azamara cruises is the "Azamazing Evenings"  Your website states that every cruise 7 days or longer include one of these evenings.  These Caribbean cruises fall under this description from Azamara's website:

     

     Best of all, one is included with our compliments on all cruises except transatlantic crossings and voyages that are less than seven nights long.

     

    So being on back to back cruises, I am missing out on two promised Azamazing Evenings!  I really hope there will be some form of compensation, but I really would just prefer a couple evenings to remember on our cruises.  Why do we not get the same level of cruise experience as promised in your brochures?

    JsMom2, I'm curious, where did you get this information that there would be no Azamazing evenings?

     

     

     

  12.  I am also going to be on a B2B and was thinking that perhaps the evening before, while everyone is packing and having to have their bags in the hall may be a good time as well?

    We are cruising in November/December with Azamara, and I was wondering if I need to pack beach towels or does Azamara allow passengers to take towels with them while onshore at the beach?  Thanks!!

  14. I was just looking at the Restaurants on the app.,  Discoveries, The Patio and Room Service all have the following comment:

     

      "Onboard dining price is per person, food only, beverages not included; an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to the guests check"

     

    I was with the understanding that these restaurants were included and that the gratuities were included as well.

     Thanks, you are right marinaro44, We looked up the app on Google play and it says "No internet purchase required to use onboard".

I like the idea of the online app, but my concern is that I would be required to purchase WiFi on the ship to access my account through the app, because there is no access  through the television.  I hadn't really planned on purchasing WiFi, therefore the app would cause me to incur additional charges.
