  1. I ordered a bottle for our room. More expensive than a regular bottle at home, but cheaper than having a night cap at the bar each night and we can enjoy it by ourselves instead of being with lots of other people. Going to the bar is fun...sometimes, but a private party is better other times. We board on Sunday...looking forward to relaxing and enjoying Bermuda. If you want to see what we're up to you can follow along on our blog. http://sscruisingadventure.blogspot.com/

Is there a bottle size specification for the wine? Do you pay a corkage fee if you consume it in your stateroom?

Just a normal size bottle and no charge to have it in our cabin. It has to be unopend and have the original seal.

There is one exception that could be interesting.   If you are doing a B2B and purchase liquor on first cruise it will be delivered to you last night of cruise.    You then already have it in your cabin for the 2nd cruise.

    Good deal!

  4. I know that Celebrity allows you to bring 2 bottles of wine onboard when you arrive. My question is...can you buy a bottle of liquor at the onboard liquor store to have in your cabin. I'm sure there would be a up charge of some kind, but is it allowed? We don't won't the drink package...we really don't drink that much and will pay as we go, but it might me nice to have a bottle in our room. Sorry if this question has been asked before, I seem to be having a problem doing any searching on this site.

Which Celebrity ships are we talking about?  The S class ships have a dim nightlight in the bathroom that is always on if the lights have not been turned on.  there is also an outlet in the ceiling above the sink.  M class have permanent nightlights installed where the old hairdryers were on the bathroom wall.  So no need to pack a nightlight for the bathroom.  Haven't noted what Edge has.  We carry USB port multipliers and they have a little dot of light on them, enough to give us a nightlight in the cabin.  EM

So it's ok to take a multi use plug...we have one with USB and regular plugs...so yes that would give just a little. Not that I care about having a light in the cabin, just something small in the bathroom. We are cruising on the Summit. I have a small rechargeable light I might bring.

Some people use a little battery-operated tealight in the bathroom and leave the door open a little. I often find that the light from my charging appliances is all I need. In fact, there is sometimes light coming from underneath the cabin door too and I have found that enough. I always find it strange when people say there is absolutely no night in an inside cabin as I haven't found that to be the case.

    Great to know...thanks.

I was on Summit this spring.saw a man in shorts turned away. Two young women in short shorts allowed in. When questioned was told women in shorts were allowed. Very sexist decision in my opinion.

So dressy linen shorts and nice capris are allowed for women? These items are dressier than any pair of slacks I own.

We sailed on inside balcony and suite. When inside and balcony are the same size there is really no difference.  Unless of course you like to sit on the balcony.

For us inside is actually better since no light can come from outside and interrupt our sleep. It's not even about money. Just works better for us.

Is there anything with a small light on it in the bathroom? I've read there were no outlets in the bathrooms so a small night light wouldn't work. I love to sleep in complete darkness, but we need to be able to find our way to the bathroom without turning on the cabin light...what do you do about that?
