We didn't have the drink package on our last cruise and did all the tastings as it was an economic way for us to drink on the sea days.  My husband and I shared each one as I am a lightweight.  lol  We didn't need reservations but we were on the Dawn so a much smaller ship. 

Badgermom - we are on the same cruise next week and we will probably do all the tastings again.  We'll meet you there!

I upgraded to the mini-suite on last week's cruise on the Breakaway. Paid $100 extra and enjoyed the extra room in the bathroom. They gave me an mid-ship mini-suite on the 13th deck. Was very happy all around.

We are sailing on October 1st. Got my bid acceptance about 2 weeks ago. Balcony to a Mini-suite. We have two other parties sailing with us so I told them to put in bids as I saw there were a lot a mini-suites available and their bids got accepted within a week. It probably just depends on how well the cruise is selling out.

If you do not have a Spa Suite than the Spa is not included.

You should tip the Butler and Concierge separately. I always give my room steward an extra tip even though they are included in the tip that you are charged automatically.

Drinks in the Haven lounge are not free unless you have the UBP.

You will really enjoy the Haven - it is a great experience.

Did you request a wheelchair before hand or did you ask for it when you got to the pier?

We sailed the Gem in December and had an enclosed balcony - got a free upgrade from an outside cabin. I didn't feel excessive motion being that far forward and didn't mind the enclosed balcony at all. I wouldn't worry too much about it and enjoy your cruise.

We are in San Juan right now and judging from our ride in a taxi from the airport to the Cordado area-there is no way I would want to drive here. And we are from the NYC area.

We are on the Breakaway in 2 days also. So excited!

We already have a balcony room. The offer we received was to upgrade to a Haven Room for between 750.00 to 3000.00 p/p. It may be a little rich for my blood but I'm thinking about it.

We are booked in a balcony room on the Breakaway in August. I received an email today with upgrade offers for Haven rooms. Does everyone get this email? On our last cruise, they called us with an upgrade offer. We took it and it was great.

Do they still make phone calls or is it all done by email now?
