We just got off the Discovery Princess. The court is for pickleball.
Got it. Thank you everyone. For some reason I thought I saw Tennis called out somewhere (but I think that was one of those blog/aggregator sites).

Hi y'all,
I am going to be on the Discovery Princess later this month and saw they have a sports court. It looked like you can play Tennis there. Does anyone happy to know what the process would be to get some Tennis court time reserved?
Thank you,

Adding 2 more to the Chumley's gang. 🙂

Thanks for your input. 🙂 It's on the Emerald, but I'd think that is fine. The location is similar to the previous location. Just a few decks further down.

Yes, my cruise is this December. Any thoughts on going from BF to MD? Should I be happy? I've never been above a normal Balcony cabin.

Got an email for my 10-day Mexico cruise in December. Moved from BF to MD. Is that good? I've never been in a Mini-Suite, but they moved me from R747, which has a big balcony already. Is the MD balcony bigger?

I mean, seriously. Mezz Rear and Side seats (G2 on the aisle for example) for $75 + fees is a really good price for a decent seat.

We were there last April. It was okay (though a lot of military presence). There was a good breakfast spot on a pier a bit down the road when you leave the ship to your right. (I think 100% natural or something like that). Apart from that. It's not really a lot to write home about. It's pretty, but run-down.

Hamilton in SF currently slashed prices. The Orpheum is huge and they are not selling out anymore. I expect it to extend one more time to cover the summer period (BroadwaySF who owns the Orpheum doesn't have anything else lined up in that theatre so far, and all the other touring shows that they put on are at the smaller Golden Gate theatre).
I recommend seeing this show, it's a great production. The cast recently changed a bit, but the majority of people that are still there have been fantastic.

Oh I didn't know that, thanks for sharing that info. I don't need gas discounts, but it's helpful nonetheless for people that do. 🙂

I am deciding on how much $ to spend on Princess Gift cards to pay for on board purchases. I don't want to overspend on cards however.
Are there any items in the gift shop that are at fair value and that are really nice?
What is the perceived benefit of getting gift cards ahead of time? If you lock money on a gift card, you might be compelled to spend it (even if it doesn't make sense). If you just get on the cruise and spend whatever you like and pay then and there, it's the same, but you don't have the perceived pressure of having to use up whatever credit you have.

I called them and added the PBP and Grats to our Cyberdeals reservation. $30/day/person is not too shabby for us. I'd never pay full price for the PBP. $15/day is alright.

Tipping culture in the US is crazy. NCL should pay their staff a proper wage and not shift the responsibility to the customers. I understand this would result in higher fares, but takes out a lot of the fuzziness. They could already do this and just roll the service charge into the cruise fare, but they won't, because that way they couldn't profit of the "free" incentives the way they do now.

Starbucks will switch over to non-plastic straws completely by 2020, including cruise ships.
And that's great. It's just a weird mixture of shipwide ban on plastic straws (with paper straws upon request) vs plastic straws galore for your frappuchino.

On the Bliss they send the slip around the 3rd or 4th day, but it said valid for the whole cruise. We did laundry a week in, they picked up the basket after 12pm and we had the laundry back the same day around 7pm. I was impressed.

The Starbucks on the Bliss still gives out plastic straws. It's bizarre to me.

I completed check-in for our 3/30 Bliss cruise on Sunday. I hope I'll get the banner/email eventually. :D

Currently on board and we tried to make a chrome cast work. No dice. The tvs don't recognize any other input.
