My family (me, husband, daughter 12, son 10 and son 5) are new to cruising. Last year we went on Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas and decided we loved cruising. We all felt like we could use a little more action though and had heard Carnival line is more "fun" for young people. The horizon ship looks great for my kids who love karaoke with lip sync battle and the hasbro game show but Mardi Gras is a little less expensive for when we want to go and obviously is newer. It seems they've taken a bunch of the kid friendly stuff out though (lip sync battle, hasbro, imax, thrill theatre, etc.). Am I right? Or will there just be newer stuff that appeals to the kids?
Thanks!!

I used to work for Gallup! They take their strengths finder very seriously.
I am planning a pre-trip WDW visit as well. how did that work out for you? I was thinking 3 Disney days in the week before our cruise since we have our ILs time share in Orlando and my kids are out of school since it is during summer.
Help me choose which sailing to switch to

Family of 5- 3 kids ages 13, 11 &6. Which would you pick? August 2022.
1. Mexican riviera on Panorama
2. Western Carribean on Mardis Gras
I like to take 2 week vacations 1 week land/1 week sea) my kids are too old now to miss more than a week of school so we have to go in summer. With Panorama we can do a week in CA before the cruise. But with Mardis Gras that’s a week in Florida in the summer 🥵 which I found out is not very much fun!
