Should the cruises out of Puerto Rico be concerned more than Florida cruises as far as ramifications if there was a "lock down" or something put in place? Since it's still part of the US I'd think not, but curious your thoughts? We're set to fly to Puerto Rico this Thursday to leave Saturday on Vision and we aren't too concerned about being quarantined but if we'd have a difficulty getting back to the mainland after the cruise if anything went down? Is that a potential thing that could happen; preventing us from getting from Puerto Rico back to the mainland? Looking for input.

I wouldn’t be worried. I would enjoy your vacation. As we have seen with the Grand Princess the US government is not letting its citizens get trapped on a ship they will get you home...

I was looking into doing the city tour before going to the airport.

We we have a 3:30 flight. Which one did you do? The one that takes you sightseeing or the one that they let you walk around on your own?

if you do the one where you walk on your own is anything open on a Sunday morning? Trying to figure out if it’s worth it.

What time do you get off the ship for the tour? And do you have enough time to get to the airport to go through the agricultural scan?

We did the guided tour by bus. They did give us time to walk around on our own for a little under an hour. We were off the boat by 8am. Royal instructed us to meet in the comedy club prior to disembarkation. There you are grouped with others on your tour and told where to meet the tour. I believe we were to the airport by noonish maybe a little before. The agricultural scan was super easy and fast for us. We were Into the airport and to our gate within a half hour. Granted we are young in good shape and quite quick on foot. The tour guides are sure to get you where you need to be at the appropriate time. They are in the business of making sure you have a good time.

Princess Cruises' Passage Contract provides that you cannot file a class action against them:

    (C) WAIVER OF CLASS ACTION: THIS PASSAGE CONTRACT PROVIDES FOR THE EXCLUSIVE RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES THROUGH INDIVIDUAL LEGAL ACTION ON YOUR OWN BEHALF INSTEAD OF THROUGH ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. EVEN IF THE APPLICABLE LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE, YOU AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION OR LAWSUIT AGAINST CARRIER WHATSOEVER SHALL BE LITIGATED BY YOU INDIVIDUALLY AND NOT AS A MEMBER OF ANY CLASS OR AS PART OF A CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION, AND YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE TO WAIVE ANY LAW ENTITLING YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. IF YOUR CLAIM IS SUBJECT TO ARBITRATION UNDER SECTION 16(B)(ii) ABOVE, THE ARBITRATOR SHALL HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO ARBITRATE C/LAIMS ON A CLASS ACTION BASIS. YOU AGREE THAT THIS CLASS ACTION WAIVER SHALL NOT BE SEVERABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FROM THE ARBITRATION CLAUSE SET FORTH IN SECTION 16(B)(ii) ABOVE, AND IF FOR ANY REASON THIS CLASS ACTION WAIVER IS UNENFORCEABLE AS TO ANY PARTICULAR CLAIM, THEN AND ONLY THEN SUCH CLAIM SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO ARBITRATION."

I also seriously doubt you could file a class action against the Country of Japan for any reason, much less for how they handled the quarantine.

Say what you will, but I’ve been in court enough times to see contacts like that thrown out by a Judge. Families of 911 victims are being allowed to sue the kingdom of Saudi Arabia so the precedent has been set. Hopefully I’m wrong and there was no sickness or death caused by the cruise lines handling of the situation.

  4. We did the post cruise excursion tour of old San Juan post cruise. It was actually cheaper than the Cab fair to the airport. They will give you time to explore old San Juan on foot and grab a quick bite to eat. The tour guides are local and really need your support. My heart breaks for a lot of those people. Our tour guide was a great guy.

  5. This guy picked a toddler up and put her on a 54” high railing and let go of her, he is solely responsible for what happened. Even if the window was closed it was irresponsible what if she fell backwards? He will lose the lawsuit and be criminally prosecuted and locked up for what he did. Welcome to 2020 where everyone Sues everyone for their own stupidity. He would get sympathy if he wasn’t pushing a frivolous lawsuit.

  6. We are scheduled on Harmony in two weeks from today- we are watching closely as the incubation period looks to be about 14 days. My wife is pretty upset that a vacation is causing un do stress. We will make a last second call depending on the severity of the out break in two weeks. I do have faith in RCCL to do the right thing. I would like to think they are using all the power they have to keep ships clean and safe.
