Do you all have the same booking number?  If not, just log in with their booking number and make the reservations. We do that for our kids, who always have their own cabin.

We have different booking numbers, but the travel agent "connected" us as travel companions...That being said, if I can't book things for all four of us at the same time through the app or the website - I almost wonder what the point of having the reservations connected is. When we travelled this way with Royal Caribbean, once the reservations were linked, I was able to book for all of us at the same time.

  2. I haven't cruised work Princess in 15+ years and we've just booked. My husband and I will be in a balcony with my 17 and 15-year old boys in the inside cabin across the hall. The booking agent said she has connected their reservation to ours and I see them as our travel companions in my Princess App but when I try to book shore excursions, it just shows that I'm booking for my husband and I, and I want to be able to book for all of us at the same time. I want all of our bookings (meals, etc) to be for all four of us. I don't want the teenagers to do their own bookings through the app. Is this possible?

  3. We just checked in for our February 15, 2020 cruise on Summit (our third on Summit from San Juan) and for the first time, as part of the check in process, we had to indicate what time we plan to arrive/board the ship. The earliest time listed was 2-2:30 p.m., so that's what we picked. I assumed because no earlier times were listed, that we can't board earlier - is that the case?

    • Ship:  Summit
    • Length of Cruise: 7 days
    • Cruise Sail Date: 2/15/20
    • Date email offer received: 12/17/19
    • Captain’s Club Tier Select
    • Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: Celebrity Direct
    • Current Cabin: 7180 - Balcony (slightly larger balcony)
    • Bid?  No

    Royal Suite $1645 CDN/person

    Celebrity Suite $1250 CDN/person

    Sky Suite $985 CDN/person

    Aqua Class $130 CDN/person

    Concierge Class $65 CDN/person

    Family Veranda Stateroom $130 CDN/person

We were  tempted by the family veranda stateroom but my better half likes being able to lay in bed and look out off the balcony and it looks like the family veranda statements have their sitting area there with a privacy wall between the bed and the sitting area.... I would love to eat in Blu through Aqua Class, but we're travelling with two other couples so it's not the right choice for us this time.

I like Jays. I have rented from them when I stay in Aruba, and they bring the car to me. I read a post not long ago where they brought someone a car to the cruise port.

    Thanks! I'll look into them!

  5. I submitted a car rental request to More4Less for a small car, sending along our credit card number and everything... it took three or four days to get a response and all it said was "we are sold out of jeeps for that day." My request wasn't for a jeep; I emailed back right away to say that - it's been days since and there's been no response. What other companies do you recommend for a one-day rental, preferably near the cruise port?

As soon as you board the ship find out where the MTD host is located.  Am I reading this correctly,  On one you night you had booked all four of you for the same time/same table.  Every other night you have only two of you booked.

You should be fine, if you show up upon boarding.  It has been my experience that while the Daily Planner may show no availbility during a certain time period, however once you are onboard you can get reservations.

Thank you everyone! That is exactly what happened - booked one night for all four of us, but just two of us every other night.

Will seek out the host as soon as we board. As I said, I really can't imagine not eating together.

  7. Hi all. We've got two cabins (connecting) booked for this Monday's Mariner of the Seas sailing; two guests in each cabin. The two reservations were linked by the travel agent. I booked MyTime Dining for every night of our cruise. I logged in last night and see that I only booked the MyTime Dining for the guests in one of our two cabins, except for one night. I just called Royal Caribbean to try and fix this - we're even celebrating a birthday on board on the first night - and got told everything is booked and we can't add the other two guests to our existing two guest MyTime Dining reservations because it's "fully booked." This is really upsetting me. It's my partner and I travelling with my 9 year old and 11 year old. One adult and one child booked in each cabin. It's my children's first cruise and I just can't imagine not eating together.

  8. Just got a credit for the hotel we booked.......no cancellation notice. When I called they said they were running on a generator and housing Fema and not taking reservations until May 31st.

There are hotels rooms available but at an unbelievable rate, so went online and booked airbnb.

    Carol

    just curious...which hotel?

  9. I'm going to go for it. At least if you pre-pay using a card and there are problems/issues, you may have some recourse.

I'll be there on 11/13 doing the Bajan Paradise tour. I typically write full reviews of my cruises but I'll try to remember to come back over here and post my thoughts.

We want to do the Bajan Paradise tour when we're there in January. How was it? I sent a request through her website last night and haven't received a response yet

  10. You may want to check on The Wave hotel. My friend had her reservation cancelled and was told they were not accepting customers unitl 2018.

    .

Thanks. We do have a room booked at the Wave. We booked it after Coral Princess cancelled on us.

And to clarify, we haven't lost anything, we're not paying a higher rate. We're stating elsewhere. I was merely voicing disappontment that a hotel wasn't honouring a reservation and, in fact, not being completely honest about why they aren't honouring it.

  11. This is nothing more than a bit of a vent. I booked a room at the Coral Princess in Condado in March 2017 for our January 2018 cruise. Locked in a great price of $129/night.

In October, I received the expected cancellation from the hotel because of hurricane damage and housing FEMA/relief workers. I understand that completely, I really do...

But now the hotel is accepting January 2018 reservations again at a cost of $199/night, with a minimum 3-night stay. This is completely unacceptable. They are obviously able to house paying guests who aren't relief workers - but it would appear that they just want to ensure they can charge more.

Is there any sort of body that would be interested in hearing about this? Some sort of association or regulator of hotel operations??? I've booked three new hotel reservations since the hurricane, two of which have since been cancelled.

I'm completely sympathetic to hotels that are legitimately damaged and/or housing relief workers, but that doesn't appear to be the case here, at least not in January. If Coral Princess would just honour the reservation I made almost a year in advance, this process would be a lot less stressful.

    Vent over.

  12. Two upcoming issues/questions for our January 2018 cruise...

First one, Celebrity has changed our ports because of hurricane damage. Totally understandable and we have zero issue with it. We're now going to St. Lucia and want to book a private excursion. Celebrity has told me over the phone (and what it says on their website) is that we will be docked in St. Lucia. But, the St. Lucia port authority website says we'll be anchored... who to believe? It changes the arrangements we need to make for our shore excursion.

A second similar question, Celebrity has posted that we'll be in St. Kitts on a certain day. A local tour guide (very well known/reviewed) has responded to my tour inquiry that he believes we're in port the day before Celebrity says we will be. This will change whether we are able to book a tour with him..... what source to believe?

I've read enough things in the past to know that Celebrity phone agents and the website doesn't always have the right info.

  13. Didn't see this post earlier - it's strenuous. My SO and I did it in January 2016. Took about 2.25 hours up and 2 hours coming back down. It's quite steep and very slippery, lots of rocks, tree roots, branches to climb over. 16 of us started out on the hike, but 2 gave up after about a half hour. Going up was very tough in terms of cardiovascular fitness, but coming down was hard on the knees and from the slippery-ness. I'm in reasonably good shape, but yes, it was hard - make sure to wear very supportive footwear. I'd suggest hiking shoes that go over your ankles for a bit more support (but maybe that's just me). My SO wore runners and his grip wasn't as good. There are videos posted on YouTube. Check them out for glimpses of the terrain.

  14. When we stayed there on 10/27 they were starting to have issues with their generator and water issues as well. They ended up getting the generator back on, but the water issues persisted. People on our cruise who stayed there precruise were supposed to stay post-cruise too, but were canceled due to the hotel no longer having water.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. I'm just starting to get a bit cynical about some of these cancellations.

  16. I was cancelled for January12th as well today

Do you have a back up? We're on the same cruise as you...had already received cancellations from Coral Princess and Holiday Inn Express Condado. Still have a reservation at the Wave, and I talked to them on Friday. Fingers crossed that reservation sticks!

  17. Just received my notification of cancellation for the night of January 12 at Comfort Inn Condado. I'm confused as other people reported staying there in the last couple of weeks??? Frustrated too. This is the third reservation I've had cancelled for the night of January 12.
