  1. I am considering my first RC cruise on Allure of the Seas.  I would like comments/opinions on the different balacony choices.  I have always had ocean view balconies but wonder about the balconies facing the interior of the ship?  I apolozize if this subject has been previously discussed but I am really wanting to hear from people who have experienced these balconies.

  2. I am trying to purchase room decorations for a friend who is on same sailing as I am.  When I "add to cart", it only brings up my booking number.  I cannot change it to her booking number.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Everyone in our group has sailed multiple times except this person and I thought it would be nice to have a Bon Voyage package for her.

  3. Enjoyed your video BallFour 4. Thanks! We will be on the Vista October 28 and can't wait! We have sailed both Conquest class and Fantasy class and want to try out the Vista class. Maybe we won't care for the larger ship, but we are certainly going to give her a try. I know we will have a great time simply because we are cruising!

  4. Carol, thank you for a wonderful review of the Vista. It seems you covered every aspect of the cruise and I appreciate that you did so with such care of the staff and fellow cruisers. Some reviews seem to 'bash' the staff, the food, fellow cruisers, but we saw none of that from you. Thanks again for the valuable information.

  5. If he is meeting you at your hotel near MIA (your post is a little confusing), then he has options:

    1. Tri-Rail train from FLL to MIA for under $5 and then the hotel shuttle

    2. Uber for about $40

    3. Taxi for about $75-80+tip

    4. One way car rental

    5. Lots of the FLL shuttles will not or cannot service MIA and area hotels - but Go Airport (based at the FLL airport) can make the trip.

    Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I will now look into these options.

Sorry that my post was confusing. We will be meeting at hotel day prior to cruise.

  6. Most hotels will happily store your bags if your room is not ready (tip appropriately).

If your hotel is not near the beach you can try the Luggage Lounge in South Beach where you can pay to store your bags for the day.

Thank you for that information. BTW, I love your bi-line about golf!

  7. MIA airport area hotels are okay if you are arriving late and just want a room; if you want to see anything of Miami and maybe enjoy the local dining scene you need to stay downtown, Coconut Grove or head to South Beach.

Haven't decided on hotel yet. Just gathering info, but will definitely stay in Miami proper, not at airport.

  8. The "best" way is in a stretch limo with a stocked bar! Get the party started early!

For downtown Miami hotels a taxi will run about $25-27+tip and UberX (appropriate for 2 passengers and bags) will be about $16.

I like your way of thinking with the limo!

  9. I leave on the Liberty on the 15th. I am one who thinks your vacation is what you make of it. So, I'm sure I'll have plenty of good things to say about the ship when I get back. I'll try to come back here and post when I do!

I agree that your attitude can make or break anything....glad you think your vacation is what you make of it. I feel the same way as well. That being said, I think everyone would love to read a review from you. Happy sailing!

  10. Unfortunately, Dad and me had to cancel this cruise due to the winter storm. We cannot get out of our subdivision. We were booked on the Jan 8 cruise.

So sorry to hear that. I know how exciting it is to get to the single digits. Then that dang Mother Nature.
