Thank you, snoozecrooze. That makes perfect sense and matches up with the experiences on our other cruises now that I think more about it.

We have cruised on Princess many times to the Caribbean and to Alaska. We will be cruising in the Baltic and Northern Europe this summer on Princess. Are there significant differences in the food that is served on European cruises (due to being provisioned in a different area of the world, especially) or can we expect menus that are similar in structure to those for cruises in or around the U.S.A.? Thanks for any help!
