Thanks..we are a party of 7 adults and a child so might be easier to keep everyone together, considering cancelling RC transfer and booking a private transfer. But...have early return flight so need to get off in one of first groups and feel might be easier to stick with RC...not a good decision maker !! Think RC transfers are costing $180 us return for us all.

We used Welcome Pick Up in Barcelona this spring for a trip we took and will use them for this cruise trip as well.  Easy to book and price would be better I think than what you have for a transfer (I'm betting half).  The link below says Athens but it is reviews for all locations.

  2. We used Welcome Pickups in March and are reserving them today for our cruise in 2 weeks.  Don't remember price in March for just the 2 of us but for 5 plus 8 pieces of luggage to Gothic Quarter about 70 euros paid on credit card.  The driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign.  Easy to reserve online.  Have a great trip.

  3. We also used Whats Ap (need wifi), we rented a mobile wifi hotspot from SkyRoam for $10 a day so always had wifi for up to 5 connections.  Will not work on ships but will work when at port.  Was also able to text and make calls on wifi only to US numbers, turned on wifi calling on phone (you can google where to turn on for your type of phone).  We made sure always on airplane mode and data was off but wifi on.

  4. We were there in March, it was one ticket for both.  We only wanted the Forums so just told them to give us the first time for the Coliseum, knowing we wouldn't be using, they made us pick a time.   We figured it was better than locking someone out in the future.

  5. Thank you so much for taking the time to come back again and again. Thank you also for sharing your personal insights as you go. We leave in a few weeks for what was your second leg. We we have a teenager that faces some of the same challenges and strengths as your son, this will the the kids 4th cruise and have always found that each of our kids has found something that works for them.
